ethancoaster
Does anyone really see a giga fitting there in the second picture? I know Fury325 and Intimidator come pretty close to each other, but their stations are almost on opposite sides of the park.
stashua123
Clearing has begun further!! Around WWC Resevoir and the Turntable. Saw a wood chipper. And a bobcat(but I couldn't take a photo of that since my phone ran out of space right at that picture.
The Interpreter
Where oh where is Beast Gal's husband when you need him? Terp, who likes to ask questions.
Magenta Lizard
That picture below DB seems to be stacked fencing from the old WWC queue. None of that was there yet last night when we rode the last train. They've been very busy beavers today!* That blows my prediction that we wouldn't see much happening on days we can be at the park until weekday operations start. If they are paying crews to work weekends even when they have all week to work in obscurity, it suggests a certain amount of... urgency... to me. I am positively salivating for Coasterstock at this point. If they don't at least tease us then, I'm going to be fully grey by the end of summer! Edit: * new name idea: Beaverhawk. I need to start making a list

Magenta Lizard
I'm sure they are working during the week, I've seen the progress with my own eyes between last Sunday and yesterday (more tree clearing, and all of the white survey markers were new). I find it very significant, however, that they are /also/ working weekends.
DiamondBanshee
Agreed. I feel like they wouldn't need to do this much work for cowboy coaster Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The urgency could be to get the water ride ready for memorial weekend IMO.

Magenta Lizard
Don just tweeted: https://twitter.com/donhelbig/status/729028003594944513 "Planning a trip to Batavia. Hear there are some good photo ops there." For those of you that don't know, Clermont Steel Fabricators, the steel company that produces the tracks for B&M coasters, is located in Batavia.
The Interpreter
There's more than fabricators in Batavia!

sixohdieselrage
I find it awesome that B&M has a small town shop fabricate their coasters, instead of going to a huge company in say, China. Sent from an Indestructible Phone
Hoeter
Falling trees... http://www.agri.ohio.gov/topnews/asianbeetle/ Affects Bethel as I mentioned earlier on but also affects East Fork State Park, which is a couple miles east of CSF.

They are normally solitary creatures and to see one in the woods with all that noise happening is really surprising.
sixohdieselrage
Technically, East Fork State park is directly South of CSF. Sent from an Indestructible Phone

sixohdieselrage
Yep. My grandparents own a farm off of Half Acre Road. Right next to that said entrance. So I get to drive by the plant all the time going by there. Sent from an Indestructible Phone

I wish my phone didn't all of a sudden say it didn't have space. :/
Hoeter
Interesting. My grandparents owned a house over off of Twin Bridges Rd. in nearby Williamsburg. The State of Ohio bought their house (and many others around it), flooded the area, and the area as we know it is East Fork Lake today. From what I was told, very few (if any) of those houses were demolished Sorry to get off topic for a minute, but I wanted to add this to the conversation.
sixohdieselrage
Oh neat! Have you seen pics of the valley before it was flooded? It was pretty cool. Alot of the old structures are underwater. So yes, what you heard is true. Same thing he ^ said about the convo. Sent from an Indestructible Phone

Magenta Lizard
Here we see the solitary bobcat silently stalking a workman, from its shaded hiding place among the trees... I actually saw the same bobcat carrying a whole (small) tree alongside Diamondback on one of my rides. Of course, I couldn't take a picture then.
Hoeter
Perhaps I can yonder out that direction here in a bit and see if any new track is laying about. The last track I saw out there about 3 weeks ago was the track going to Asia for their new coaster.
