Maverick44
I will be visiting KD for the first time this summer. My plan is to go on a Monday. Does anyone know how the crowds are on Monday at the end of July?
IndyGuy4KI
Yes, someone does. IndyGuy4KI feeling a little nostalgic missing an Ole' Terpy.
King Ding Dong
There is a good chance the crowds will be hot and sweaty.
Honorarius
^^^ This is very accurate... Found the water park packed from the heat, but the rest of the park didn't seem busy at all... Only line of any length was 35 minutes for Volcano, and that's just due to capacity, not from crowd level... The heat made it seem way longer...
Maverick44
Well that is some type of good news!
TombRaiderFTW
I second that description. The times I've visited KD mid-summer, the dry park doesn't have extensive lines except for rides with lower capacities, like Volcano. On that note, I recommend getting to KD at opening and heading straight for Volcano (if passholder ERT on it isn't available.) Even if the park isn't too busy, Volcano's queue can be very warm because of how enclosed it is in parts. It's especially icky when it's humid. (And if the park IS busy, you'll beat the worst of the crowds.)

harveyhaddixfan
Thank you for that insight! I can't wait to get on I305!!! Haha Try not to “grey out” at the bottom of the first hill.

I find it is not as bad early and late in the day. Be hydrated and that will help too.
Maverick44
Of course! Water is a must any time I visit parks. I visit a new amusement park each season. There are some CF and non CF parks I cannot wait to visit.
malem
For me, getting plenty of sleep also helps. When visiting Cedar Point on no sleep, I find that I gray out for a few seconds at the bottom of the first hill. I wouldn't want to ride I305 after staying up all night.
