MDMC01 Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 With a clue like that, it sounds to me it'll be either a Dive coaster or a slide complex like Tropical Plunge. We shall see... Quote
CoastersRZ Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Hadn`t it been mentioned as part of the long range plan for the park that they filed with the City (who actually owns the park) that they intended to install a hyper coaster? I might be remembering that wrong, but I seem to recall hearing that. 1 Quote
RollerNut Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Cedar Fair owns the park, Santa Clara redevelopment agency owns the land. Quote
CoastersRZ Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Thats what I get for trying to type a logical post so early in the morning. Yes, the city owns the land that the park is built on. Cedar Fair owns the park. That park is one of the Cedar Fair parks (and the only former Paramount Park) that I have not visited. Quote

Rivertown Rider Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 ^ I had seen something similar that the 2020 permits were canceled with Santa Clara last August. Right around that same time the permits for our 2020 project were filed. 1 Quote
SonofBaconator Posted February 3, 2019 Author Posted February 3, 2019 Well the park is certainly living up to its name "California." Drop Tower is being repainted/ rethemed to resemble a giant Sequoia- a tree native to California. http://coaster-nation.com/californias-great-america-re-theming-iconic-ride/ 3 1 Quote
