March 16, 20197 yr Since there are a lot of good questions and answers in the KIBlog Mailbag posts. I think it would be a good idea to have its own thread to have them in one place. Here is the latest one: Does Coasterstock Always Sell Out, Gold Pass Ride Nights, What's Happening in 2020! Older Mailbag entries Is it Racer or Racers, Dodgem or Dodgems? Whatever happened to the Kings Island Hall of Fame? What roller coaster was more important to Kings Island, the Racer or The Beast? What became of the towers, gondolas and other parts from the skyride? Why was the last dip on the Racer removed in 1996? How many parking spaces are there in the parking lot?

I wonder how deep the footing and foundation would have been for the Eiffel Tower if it was built at Coney.
March 17, 20197 yr Nice set of questions. I wonder how deep the footing and foundation would have been for the Eiffel Tower if it was built at Coney. Probably a little deeper than at KI. More clay to bedrock. The water plant tower near the river bottoms at 24 feet below the surface of pool level of the river.

I was saying, in terms of alterations to the footing, leg connection, what was altered to fit it on the KI site.
April 1, 20197 yr Author This is not a mailbag KIBlog post, but a great read on Carl Eichelman who was one of the marathon pioneers (like @DonHelbig with The Racer) on The Beast. A great tribute as The Beast celebrates its 40th this season. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/blog/2019/april/irs-man-got-his-fill-of-ups-and-downs-on-the-beast
