I wonder if its a coaster. Something near and dear to our hearts? Something making a return possibly? 

Maybe it’s a revival of switchback railway. I’m thinking a gravity group shuttle?

I mean maybe but another capacity nightmare at CP? I hope not.

I am hoping for a gci that interacts with GateKeeper called the Keymaster.

It's not gonna be a coaster. Literally no amusement park is going to drop millions on a roller coaster and have their only hype be their PR guy mentioning it once on his personal account. They also don't let their only hype be posters in the queue of a roller coaster at a different park altogether. Big parks and most small parks also don't let their only hype be the announcement of an announcement a few days or two weeks-ish beforehand.

As obsessive as the coaster crowd is about details, we never seem to remember any details about how parks get attention around their big new rides.

TRFTW, who remembers when people predicted giga coasters when Kings Island announced the announcement of what ended up being WindSeeker, a whole 3 days beforehand.

No idea. With how much stuff there's been at CP over the years, it's anyone's guess. Except it's not a coaster.

About not having a worker there announce it on his account? Didn’t someone at KI do that for orion? Not exactly announce it, but tease about it?

More anniversary info possibly (as the big celebration got pushed back a year due to the pandemic)? Or a second season of Forbidden Frontier?

Or it could be a ride removal....

CP has already announced they will not start running the new boat ride this season.  I seriously doubt the island will be open at all given the play structure would be a huge hassle to keep sanitized and the village area is actor heavy and the quests involve carrying packages and such all over the place and those would have to be sanitized constantly as well. 

It's a face mask. Everyone's gonna get a 150th anniversary-branded CP face mask upon entry to the park!

That is a really good point; I didn't think about all the things that would have to be monitored and sanitized. 

Had never heard of the Pipe Creek Campus employee housing but it seems CP won’t be needing any time soon. Cool that they are letting the county use it for quarantining first responders though.

Looks like it is the former Budget Host Inn, located due east of the Castaway Bay property.  Also located right across the US 6 from the parking lot for the Amazement Shop (one of the Cedar Point rides maintenance facilities).

I wonder what Tony might announce!! Won’t get my get my hopes up though! 

Has everyone forgotten that this announcement is most likely coming this week? Specifically and hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday?
