FOF/Z 4-ever
Who thinks KI should bring back the theme uniforms that FOF, Top Gun, and TR:TR used to have? What other rides do you think should have themed uniforms? This goes as well as the themeing of the rides. Do you think they should try to bring themeing back to Top Gun and other rides? PkiJake13
Adventure Express, Thornberries, Action FX, Drop Zone, Reptar. I think they should bring back themeing since they are tying to be more like a theme park than a amusement park. -Jake
dxrunner
Drop Zone, Top Gun, TRTR, FOF, IJST. I would love to see the jump suits back at top gun. I dont remember what TRTR's or FoF's were. IJST could be like a showfer(sp?) suit. Drop zone could be like stunt crew theming
flightoffear1996
They should have themed uniforms but doing on that cost money.
TRTR Guy
The reason they got rid of the themed uniforms was because if you got sent to another ride you would look stupid.
CoastersRZ
The uniforms that the TR:TR crew wore the first couple of weeks were simply the left over unforms from the Son of Beast announcement, as I understand it. Yes, it would make people look oout of place if they were sent to another ride, but after having been to Disney, it does add a lot to the themed atmosphere of a ride or area. I don`t forsee PKI doing this in the near future though.
familyman
I understand do to staffing shortages it is nearly impossible to theme uniforms. I remember when CP made all the employees wore those short uniforms. Those were the good old days.
FOF/Z 4-ever
FOF had those boy scout uniforms, but it did make the ride seem more realy since you are "on a gov't base". TR:TR had the cargo pants and shirts which made it look like they were explorer's. I just thought they were cool and on reason why I picked FOF! (Yea, im a dork, what can I say?) Legend Rider
I can just say, that themed uniforms are not a good idea... ...I mean, hey, they look cool, and If I worked there and were sent, I would explain the situation, but it just would get an ultimate laugh, I mean say you have an IJST Uniform and you get sent to Beastie, well, you would stick out like a sore thumb! also, some rides I could never see getting Uniforms, Delirium would be cool, but still, I do not like the Idea. Uniforms are supposed to look professional, and by having many uniforms, you would make the guests confused. The Blue shirts with striped collars seem to work out nicely. It is weird however that the food service people have different uniforms... ...some parks have a set guideline for all... like each color means something else. CoastersRZ
Well, Disney seems to pull of different themed uniforms for different rides ok. But they also are open year round, and probably don`t have to deal with shortages of riders. I disagree with making the guests get confused. Look at PKI in the old days, they had uniforms for different areas. While it would make contacting an associate a little harder to do because they all would not look the same. The thing I remember most when I was a kid was the rainbow uniforms at KI in Hanna Barbera Land. I believe they were white, but had rainbow strips on the sleeves and collar. PKI_Diana
It is more economically reasonable ($$$), reasonable, feasible, and sensible (Thats a lot of -ible!) to have non themed uniforms. Not too mention, cheaper on a wide scale basis! And paramount is about cutting costs to get more of a profit, without cutting safety and quality, really. They also play well in the whole ranking business, so a guest can tell a supervisor, an associate and a manager. Personally, I have never worked at PKI with the themed uniforms, although I remember them well from my season pass days... Like other things, I like the idea in theory, but in practive it isn't as grand as one would think it would be. I think the unity and uniformity (haha) of the uniforms are excellent, and they look professional, even if I don't particularly care for the new ones with the stars. Now if we could get them to update the blue pullover, and give back the raincoats.
UncleHenry
While PKI won't do this, I do have my very own FoF uniform. Now if only I had the old FoF berret...
Vortex
I know Paramount would not bring back the old 1971 to 1986 uniforms but it would be nice.

FOF/Z 4-ever
I have the FOF shirt. The hat would be nice if anyone had one and wanted to get rid of it. TR:TR Guy, know any? lol
Alien Seed
I've also got the beret, but you know me when it comes to theming, it's a treasured item to me. By the way, who said something about themed uniforms being confusing? You should see Universal. On MIB:AA they wear a kind of suit with clip on tie, on Hulk they wear radiation suits, Jaws: they look like tour guides, BTTF: They wear lab coats, Dueling Dragons: they wear outfits that make them look like Robin Hood, Terminator: professional clothes as if they really worked for a multibillion dollar company, Shrek: more middle aged type clothing, but different from DD, ROTM: they dress like they're egyptian, and so on. They don't have a problem with confusion, and I'm sure they get sent too.

italianchef
Themed costumes would be cool and give the park a Disney-like atmosphere. However, the sad reality is that they are too expensive and too many teens (the bulk of PKI's seasonal workforce) would be reluctant to wear them. Have a great off season! erniebald57
I think they should bring back the themed uniforms. It adds to the theme of the ride. Anything that adds theming is good, and it's a nice touch. PKI wants to be a theme park? Themed uniforms will go a long way. I realize that it costs more to maintain them, but is it really that much more expensive. If it is, surely there is a way to trim the cost of it at least a little. I say bring them back. TRTR Guy
I dont see them bringing back themed uniforms anytime soon, considering they sold all the old uniforms.

Skippy
Yeah, I know what you mean Alien Seed Not only do those Universal/Disney guys dress to the attractions, but sometimes they get into character! Like when we were in line for Revenge of the Mummy at Universal, all the ride operators were acting like mindless zombies to help move the story along (the story is the real Imhotep has awakened on the set of the Mummy 3. Being in a real working movie studio, you get to go behind the scenes of the Mummy 3 but only to find all the film crew has been hypnotized)
italianchef
It would be awesome if PKI's employees dressed up for the rides, the way Disney does. Perhaps archeologists at Buddhist monks at TR:TR, military personnel at FoF, cast members from Scooby Doo at SDATHC, etc. However, I thinks that the odds of it happening are zilch. Have a great off season!] Italian Chef
CoastersNSich
I worked at the park in the late 90s when some ride ops wore special uniforms. Top Gun's staff wore one-piece flight suits, long ones for cooler days, and ones with short sleeves and shortened legs for hot days. Phantom Theater staff wore theater-style usher uniforms, which were long black pants and (burgundy?) vests on long sleeve shirts. FOF had their uniforms, which allowed shorts. Why were these special uniforms eliminated? For one, staff was often sent to cover people at different rides, like Phantom Theater people working outside on the kiddie rides. Rides are often being paired up with each other. Which led to another issue: the hot summer days wearing long sleeves and black pants. And the flight suits were no fun to be in in 90 degree days, as I spent time with folks whose home ride was Top Gun. (I wore the standard uniform of white shirt and khaki pants, as none of these rides was my home ride) And to stay consistent, especially with ride pairing, FOF joined the ranks of standard uniforms. Cost was possibly a good factor, too.

After a couple times, I got them all doing it....good times.

Gordon Bombay
What if on Adventure Express they made the men wear Fedora Hats and a brown leather jacker like Indiana Jones and the women dress like Marion in Raiders of the lost ark. I would work that ride jsut for the awesome hat.
