March 10, 200521 yr It looks as though most of the track is up. Some of the scenic work is going in. I am excited. The ride looks as though its going to give you a run for your money! Thanks for pointing out the update!
March 10, 200521 yr this ride is looking better and better all the time. thanks for pionting that out.
March 10, 200521 yr I'm glad they kept the brick pavers, that's one of my favorite spots in the park. The ride looks great.
March 10, 200521 yr God, this ride is going to be incredible. I think I may have under rated this ride.
March 10, 200521 yr ^ I have to agree the ride looks even better than I ever expected. I want to ride it so bad!
March 10, 200521 yr I envy the employees who will see it in its testing faze before the general public get a look.
March 10, 200521 yr Is it just me or does this ride look like it goes nowhere near the eagles old plot?
March 10, 200521 yr I tell what I would like to see, a photo taken from above the site, like the Eiffel Tower or Gabriel's helicopter. That would be b*tchin.
March 10, 200521 yr Where are the ques going, behind the Rivertown restrooms? From the picture it looks like you enter straight thourgh the bridge into the station. -Jake
March 10, 200521 yr I would imagine that the queue line will be to the left of where the cars "break" through the billboard and enter the splash pool area. The old Eagles plot may in fact be used by the new Happy Days Cafe, perhaps, as the ride does not go close to the old Eagles spot. The rides is looking quite nice. The park still has a lot of theming work to do on the ride though! The ride is looking quite fun! Opening day for the park and the ride can`t come soon enough!
March 11, 200521 yr Just watch, opening day rolls around and all thats left where the Eagles were is a nice grassy area with a tree planted in the middle of it. I think it will most likely be used for the Happy Days Cafe, or maybe IJ's que will wind around through that area?
March 11, 200521 yr Do they even have the chopper in the park yet, or are they just avoiding showing any pictures of it?
March 11, 200521 yr At least they have a hangar to put the Helicopter in. (The old FLight Team Hangar by wood coaster maintenance)
March 11, 200521 yr From what I've heard they have the helicopter on the property but apparently they aren't ready to install it yet.
March 12, 200521 yr The link was most likely removed because he was not supposed to show the pictures or information he was linking to. It is against the contract Paramount Park employees sign to divulge any information which is not public knowledge. Violation of that rule can get employees fired and maybe even legal action taken against them. I`m sure when the park is ready to show us pictures of the helicopter, they will.
March 12, 200521 yr how do they plan to do the explosions for the helicopter scene? is it just smoke effects like TR:TR or do they plan to have actual fire on the ride? kind of sounds weird to have fire on a family coaster. also heard that employees may get to test ride IJ:ST before it actually opens to the public.
March 12, 200521 yr The fire effects from what I have heard, will indeed be real fire, most likely fed by natural gas. The main reason they did not have real fire inside TR:TR is because of all the extra ventilation requirements that come when you bring fire indoors, which would have added significantly to the cost of the building. Since IJST is outside, they do not have to worry about the quality of the air. It would not be incommon for employees to get to test ride IJST first. At Disney World, employees at the individual park are first to test ride a new attraction, followed by employees at the other parks and resorts. Then they soft open it on select days for an hour or two to get the public`s feedback on the attraction. Then they open it to their pass holders for preview days before finally unveiling the ride to the public. Aparantly PKI will be doing something similar with IJST and having soft openings to test the ride and get public comment before it opens around mid-May.
March 12, 200521 yr Well enjoy the ride if you get the chance to ride it first. You deserve it. All the employees should get the hook up.
March 12, 200521 yr Unfortunatly, I am not an employee at PKI. I will be working this quarter at K4 Architecutre in downtown Cincinnati, so my weekends will be free to go to PKI and not sucked up by the place that is known as DAAP. Now its time to get back to studying 200 buildings for my history final on Monday.
March 12, 200521 yr The fire effects from what I have heard, will indeed be real fire, most likely fed by natural gas. Propane. Natural Gas burns way too hot.
