Yes, they've been performing the shortened "heat version" of the show. However, today's 3:30 performance was canceled, possibly due to technical issues with the screen.

If they had it later in the day it might not have to be cancelled or shortened as much. Don’t understand why this shows last performance is at 6:30 instead of 7:30 or 8.

Unless they feel later showtimes would conflict with Hot Rhythm Nights (or whatever is happening at the Bandstand), although the shows tend to coexist during Grand Carnivale.

There’s no reason the two couldn’t be staggered to not overlap. HRN is pretty short. I’d rather see it cut to 15 minutes and do 2 different versions, almost like a playlist through the night. Have it run 6:30 7:30 8:30, 9, 9:30. Then the :30 min show at Showplace perform at 5,6,7,8 so by 6 there wouldn’t be more than 15 minutes in the evening without something going on by the tower. Even if they could add in a small local act by the carousel at 6:45, 7:45, 8:45 for 15 minutes.

No regular nightly performances in the Carousel Pavilion, please. They turn off the band organ for the entire day when there's a show on that stage. Keep it limited to special events like the recent Celebrate 250 event and Tricks & Treats.

Obviously, no thought went into putting that next to the Grand Carousel and having to turn off the band organ when there’s a show on stage.

I'd love to know if the band organ music is a matter of flipping a switch or of physically feeding music into the machine. The placement of the pavilion makes sense with its proximity to Tower Gardens and the fact that it was further away from the IST than if it was across the pathway. I won't defend turning off the organ, but I also won't say there were many better options.

(Kings Island please please please make a video about how the carousel's band organ works! I've been wanting to know this information for years.)

Hence why the giant field of nothingness by a relatively unused food stand with utilities already roughed in as a better location was WAY too logical  there even footers for lighting trusses that could’ve been used for poles for string lights
