November 3, 200520 yr Are there going to be any type of thrill rides at Winterfest??? like a bobsled thing to some slide or sled thing???? Please let me know if there is any info
November 3, 200520 yr Try using the search button. This has been discussed numerous times, or you can check out PKI`s Winterfest page for all the details, hours and prices.
November 3, 200520 yr Theres going to be Santa's Slay, a new interactive dark ride combining Christmas and Haloween in which an evil santa is on the loose to steal christmas and murder the elves! (Not recomeneded for children under 13) This will be made by the same company who produced Feafest and The guy who played Ernst will be taking part in the show on Friday nights!
November 3, 200520 yr "murder the elves?????" that will be a nice christmas twist... how 'bout this year, he go "total tank." (from the 1st Santa Claus movie).
November 15, 200520 yr Killer santa?? I don't think so...The park has been made extremely family oriented so if you want to believe santa is going to murder elves knock urself out...but not at winterfest!
November 15, 200520 yr Combat are you talking about Bill Goldbergs movie in which Santa lost a bet to an angel and now the deal is done and he can turn back into a Demon?
November 15, 200520 yr Combat are you talking about Bill Goldbergs movie in which Santa lost a bet to an angel and now the deal is done and he can turn back into a Demon? Now that sounds like a pretty cool movie. How'd I miss that?
November 15, 200520 yr Author hahahahaha thats hard to believe that PKI would get that...............it sounds like a steven sigal movie<sorry if i spelt ot wrong
November 15, 200520 yr All the Attractions are here and in detail. http://www.pki.com/attractions/category.cfm?ac_id=29
November 15, 200520 yr An important note about Santa`s Toy Factory Musical. The show is open by reservation only. Reservation tickets may be picked up on a first come first serve basis at the Reservation Booth on the left side of International Street. I believe this will be the Return Visit Booth, or one of the buildings nearby it. I would imagine this system will be similar to the system in place when IJST first opened the first couple of weekends.
November 15, 200520 yr An important note about Santa`s Toy Factory Musical. The show is open by reservation only. Reservation tickets may be picked up on a first come first serve basis at the Reservation Booth on the left side of International Street. Why is the park making something so simple - so difficult?
November 16, 200520 yr Because they are probably expecting lots of people to attend the show. Also, this way, people will be guaranteed a seat in the show, and can spend their time not waiting in line for the show, but enjoying the other treats of Winterfest. I remember from one of the Winterfest`s I went to when I was little (around 1990 when I was 5) that the show in the Parmount Theater had LONG lines. They had the metal barricades set up in the plaza in front of the theater as a makeshift queue line for the show. I remember the line being quite long, and people moving the barricades to cut in front of some of the huge line (not a very good memory about PKI) I`m sure they remember the popularity of this show, and are just preparing for the demand that it will produce.
November 16, 200520 yr Umm, definantely a no with that one. Why were you hoping for a bobsled type ride? Isn`t ice skating and all the other festivities the park has planned enough?
November 16, 200520 yr yeah they do have ice skating and i do believe it's real ice...ther were installing freezing devices on monday....at least that's what i think they were. Anyway they will have ice skating that musical a parade, meet and greet santa and christmas lights out the wazoo. Some rides will be open like the carosel but i can't imagine anyone wanthing to ride anything fast it's going to be really cold. You can also meet santa at the old imagination station in HB. Kings Island will also have one of a kind unique gifts that would be great for the holidays.
November 16, 200520 yr See that's the difference with eliminating so much entertainment from the park. Many, Many, Many of the shows had lines. They really were not that bad. Very rarely did you ever get cut off (Festhaus Shows Excluded) after you had waited in line. I think that after this Winterfest Paramount will be a little more familiar with show demands.
November 16, 200520 yr Instead of making a topic for a simple question if you have a parking pass do you still have to pay for parking?
November 16, 200520 yr Author why wouldnt PKI have it next year?! i meant like a....yea a bobsled type ride or some sled ride hill thing idk
November 16, 200520 yr Yes, if you have a parking pass for next season with your season pass, you WILL have to pay the $5 parking fee at Winterfest.
November 17, 200520 yr why wouldnt PKI have it next year?! i meant like a....yea a bobsled type ride or some sled ride hill thing idk I don't think the Bobsled will be open during Winterfest. It is a little cold to be Bobsleding. Dang - we never got to do the PKIC Bobsled Team run did we? I got to do a Vortex/Troika/FOF/Z run - and I know PKIC did a few runs... Man... Good times...
