Aaron88stang
What about the froth on top of the water around the station? That was pretty nasty...but, I still miss KCKC and would ride it again in a heart beat.
The Interpreter
For those who miss KC:KC's nasty water, there's always the Diamondback cesspool. (It COULD be nice, but isn't)
homestar92
And if you want funky smells, I know that as of 2013, you could experience plenty on Congo Falls. Can't speak for 2014, as I did not ride it a single time last year.

(It COULD be nice, but isn't) The water can be easily avoided on DB, but what about those nasty moldy stains on the seats/headrests? Please clean them KI...

And there is never a line.

And a nice little pop of airtime on that double down hill. Congo Falls is much more thrilling than others that are much taller with straight drops.
kingsislandfan1972
A memory of Kings Island a few years ago, a man was using his phone on the bridge on Congo Falls, I guess he didnt know that he could get wet while on the bridge, but it happend, and his phone got ruined and he was cursing up a storm. I never really noticed, but is there a warning sign about getting wet on the bridge? The best warning sign at Kings Island is definitly http://northeastohiofamilyfun.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/White-Water-Canyon-Kings-Island.jpg I like Congo Falls, but im more of a White Water Canyon kind of guy.
Magenta Lizard
When I was about 13-14 years old and new to wearing contacts, I had to pay for them with my own money and they cost about $70 each eye. That was long before disposables, so if anything happened to one, I had to pay that much to replace it. I knew there was a big splash on the observation deck of (then) Amazon Falls, so I closed my eyes as the water shot toward me and my friends. Unfortunately, one eye must have been slightly cracked open, and the wave was almost as intense as a firehose shooting in my face. I thought my contact was washed away, and was not happy with the idea of spending the rest of the day at the park only able to see properly out of one eye. Fortunately after a minute or so, it became apparent that my contact had just gotten folded and shoved up above my eye behind my eyelid, and I was able to take it out and replace it. That splash is no joke.
jcgoble3
I never really noticed, but is there a warning sign about getting wet on the bridge? Actually, I don't think there is. There are two signs, one facing each way on the respective approaches, saying that the wave may steal your glasses, but I don't think there's one that actually says "you will get wet".
silver2005
I would think the obvious signs of water soaking the bridge would be warning enough. Its not like WWC where much the ride is hidden from view. You are pretty much guaranteed to see how the ride works when you're walking up to it and riding on it.
jcgoble3
Yeah, on the right side of the bridge (the side closest to the station) I've seen huge puddles of water as much as an inch deep. But some people are so thick headed that you have to beat it into them with a giant fluorescent orange sign.
silver2005
True. There are some among the public who still ask if Vortex goes upside down or not. While standing in plain view of it.

I like all the water rides at KI. But I'll only ride WWC if I don't mind being drenched that day.
