Gordon Bombay
^I forgot you had that crystal ball and can see so far into the future, while I am certainly upset as well that Paramount has let certain things fall by the wayside, they have not ruined the park. For one thing its cleaner than it used to be, I like how theres no gum on every tree and filth throughout the streets like i commonly hear about how it was back in the early to late 80's and how much better the security has gotten in the past few years. PKI is a decent park, its no thrill park, but its a darn good family park. If you dont like it then why are you on this board? Its a fan website not a hate website. flightoffear1996
I liked that gum tree and I think we need to start a new one. LOL. Just kidding. Yea most of the people on this site are thrill seekers and want to see a mega coaster at PKI kinda like me but then again they are there only to make money. BoddaH1994
You say PKI is no Disney yet. They NEVER will be. Paramount will never never invest in the type of attractions and go into the detail that Disney does. They may say they are going to, but when the final product rolls out it is just a shell of what was initially announced. Unfortunately I'll have to agree with you there. Paramount just seems like it doesn't think the market for the industry isn't good enough to put massive amounts of money into expansions.
AamieAndShawn
I did the hard work for ya. Thats what they are building and people think its a coaster?
Gordon Bombay
no, no one knows the exact details of whats going to be built yet, jeff said it would be a variation of one and did not specify whteher or not this would be the signature attraction. AamieAndShawn
I thought families that went to PKI was thrillseekers. I shouldn't come expecting the longest and tallest wood coasters in the world. The families thing don't hold up when you look at what Disney has. If we was to think like you, having a thrill ride at Disney would be like a turd in a punch bowl. I agree people arnt going to Disney anymore for the thrills its across the street at Universal Studios. Disney has been losing lots of $$$ cause of it. Let alone the prices at Disney is rediculas. If Disney was PKI you would be charged for admission to the park, plus charged a separate admission price for each portion of the park you want to go. I ve had friends take their kids to Disney World total time waiting in line 4 hours rode 3 rides and spent $1400 I dont know about you but i think they got screwed on that deal. Gordon Bombay
^Disney has not lost lots of money because it has not put in thrill rides, wheres your basis for that? Disney is for families not thrillseekers, just tell your friends to get fast pass on the 4 day ticket system than you dont have to worry about lines. When my family went to Disney on that plan we got to go to any of the 5 disney world parks we wanted and use fast pass unlimitedly, it worked out great, got to ride everything we wanted, most things 3 or 4 times, and got to see all the parks, unfortuanently animal kingdom too. Universal is very comparable to Disney in price, both are very nice parks but each have a hefty admissions fee and vacation plan fees.

Captain Picard
Disney is for families not thrill seekers. If so, who are they putting all the thrill rides in for? What makes families and thrill seekers different? What is in a park for families that is not in the other? I think the point they was making when they say families was that there was something for everyone. I can only think of a small number of parks the are just for kids and all others have something for everyone.

deidre1976
We need to stop complaining ,I just looked up a one day gate ticket for just one park at Disney and it's 63$ for one park. The price for FL residents, one adult season pass for a year is 325$ I paid $270 for my family of four season passes. We have a great park and should be thankful that they are putting money into the kids area. Our last ride built was the Runaway Reptar ( SDHM was just redesign from the PT).
TheKlockster
Yeah Di$ney is alot more expensive than PKI - but its a lot higher caliber too. You would never see an attraction even worthy of standing in Expedition Everests shadow at a Paramount Park. Not that I hate Paramount or anything - but Tomb Raider and Flight of Fear are pretty much the upper extent of their theming - and it is nothing in comparison with some of the things you find at Universal and Di$ney parks.
