Reclaimer Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 "The magic of summer comes to life at the country’s #1 seasonal theme park, Paramount's Kings Island. More than 4,000 cast members are needed to fill open positions in Food Service, Ecology, Rides and Merchandise. Potential associates should be at least 15 years old and able to work throughout the summer months." source: http://www.pki.com/news/detail.cfm?item_id=284 "The Paramount's Kings Island entertainment team will host two auditions in search of talented singers, dancers, actors, characters and technicians on Saturday, Feb. 11 and Saturday, Feb. 18 in the Paramount Theatre." source: http://www.pki.com/news/detail.cfm?item_id=283 Quote
CoastersRZ Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 So Paramount`s Kings Island is going the Disney route and refering to its employees as caster members? Interesting. Quote
Shman Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 It should also be noted that the Entertainment Department will be auditioning instrumentalists on those audition days as well. They are looking for people to play in the band for a live show. Quote

I don't know if you've got any Regal theatres around your place, but oddly enough Regal calls their employees cast members. Quote

RollerNut Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Please god, no! I was very disappointed in that show. The actors ended walking around on stage half-naked. For a family theme park that is a big no-no in my book. They should bring back Magic of the Movies, or make a sequel. Atleast something funny that doesn't involve Nicktoons. Quote

I'm very excited. From what I understand, it's going to be the same format and same set, but we're not sure if it's the EXACT same show or if they're pulling a Tuned In! and changing the songs and such. Regardless, good move for the park! Quote

TheKlockster Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I should audition for to be one of the Klingons that walks around the park. Too bad they dont have those anymore. Looks like Vortex - round two! Quote
King Bowser Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 School of Rock is coming back?..for seconds??- well I wont be watching it since I dont care for the live shows I go for the rides! Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I think I might apply for weekends only. Quote

Just remember, NOT an easy job! School of Rock is coming back?..for seconds??- well I wont be watching it since I dont care for the live shows I go for the rides! You're really missing quite a bit. I mean, rides are a really big part of the park, but the entertainment factor is still big. Give it a shot! You're sitting on one of the best entertainment departments that you could ever ask for. I watch that show about 6 times that season. Quote
tubaman Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I am only interested in one job at PKI...and that is running the games and wearing the microphone. It just looks fun to me. The only problem, I live 3 and half hours away. Quote
TheKlockster Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Yeah I would say don't do it then. Rides is the only thing I would ever do. And it has got to be a fun and awesome classic ride with minimal theming! Quote
King Bowser Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Hmmm... Shall I return to PKI?...I think I'm going look around plus gas is a huge factor drivin from Wright-Patt(BeaverCreek) takes a lott gas outta may tank- 5 days a week..I spend more than I earn!!! Quote
tubaman Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Does PKI even have employee housing? If they did, I would work their during my college years over the summer. A guy who goes to my church went to work at CP for one summer. Quote
