This element is a new feature, no other ride has an ENCLOSED TRIPLE-DOWN So for now, bite your tongue, and wait to ride it! This will actually be a VERY VERY VERY smooth coaster judging by what this fantastic company has done before I agree, Hades is said to be extremely smooth, and very intense, just how us coaster enthusiasts like it. i wanna ride next to u during this ride and i wanna see your face =P Again, Cram it... __________ That is all... Captain Nemo
If people think Son of Beast is rough. Wait til people ride this ride. Kung fool guy (just a little humor, no harm from it), we should not jump to conclusions so soon, besides... this is a hybrid wooden coaster. By the sound of that, it sounds smooth but I cant make any judgements till the opening of it.

By the sound of that, it sounds smooth but I cant make any judgements till the opening of it. I don't know about hybrids being smooth. Now I've only been one which was Villian at Geauga Lake, but it was terribly rough. I've heard it was smooth its first season or two though, so hopefully Voyage is and hopefully Voyage ages about twenty times better than Villian. The Interpreter
A wood coaster on steel supports is not a hybrid coaster. You think the Coney Island Cyclone is a hybrid? The Great White in New Jersey? The Comet now at The Great Escape formerly of Crystal Beach in Canada?
Legend Rider
hybrid is defined as a "cross" meaning even Gemini a steel coaster with Wooden Supports will be placed on a similar slate with Hades and The Voyage, Wood Coasters with Steel Support, ge generalize with WOOD v. STEEL, but there is a grey area, the Hybrid Category, Voyage, Villain, Tsunami (aka J2), Hades, are all Hybrid Woodies.

Reon
Hades was pretty smooth when I rode it last year, so I think we can trust this baby to do the same. And speaking of it, HOLY CRAP! This thing looks so friggen sweet. Does anyone know how far HW is from Cincy?
The Interpreter
It's only about 200 miles from PKI, but it usually takes a bit over three hours, due to traffic. I've made that particular trip many times, sometimes stopping by SFKK on the way, sometimes not.
Legend Rider
Truth be told, it has been reported that due to higher attention to Gobbler Getaway and the Voyage, Plymouth Rock Cafe may not open until Late June or Early July, for one, it hasn't even broken ground. also, see how many things you can see that have changed since the plans... View any renderings, maps, descriptions etc. The Voyage - Facts The world's top "air-time" wooden coaster Air-time of 24.2 seconds Track length: 6,442 feet (1.2 miles) Maximum speed: 67.4 mph Five underground tunnels 173 feet tall, with drops of 154, 107 and 100 feet Three 28-passenger PTC trains 2 min., 45 sec. ride time Eight underground traverses Three 90-degree extreme banked turns First drop's angle of descent a U.S. record: 66 degrees Among the world's top three longest and fastest wooden coasters __________ I'll go ahead and point one out for you: First drop's angle of descent a U.S. record: 66 degrees And uh, they have revised this since Toro, but whatever, I guess its about the release date. I think though that beyond 60, you might not tell too much of difference until you are pretty much vertical.
Reon
Dont rush them on your silly little restaraunt. Isnt it amazing enough that theyre managing to bring you this world class woody AND a new dark ride this season? Hmmm...Im going to need to plan a SFKK/HW trip sometime this summer... thejoker8388
A wood coaster on steel supports is not a hybrid coaster. You think the Coney Island Cyclone is a hybrid? The Great White in New Jersey? The Comet now at The Great Escape formerly of Crystal Beach in Canada? Yes, I would consider all those roller coasters hybrid coasters. As Legend Rider said any roller coaster that is a mix between wood and steel is a hybrid coaster. The definition from webster.com says essentially the same thing 1 : an offspring of two animals or plants of different races, breeds, varieties, species, or genera. So a hybrid coaster is the "offspring" of two generas which are wood and steel. Also, rcdb considers all those coasters that you listed as hybrids here's the link if you want proof. BoddaH1994
Ha... so since it's a hybrid and not a woody, we can say that it's not one of the tallest 3 woodies in the world, but rather it's a moderately tall rollercoaster. There goes that record. Then again, AE is a steel coaster, and that's a hybrid.
Gordon Bombay
So does Toro now have the record instead of Voyage for steepest first drop?
thejoker8388
^That is my understanding. According to rcdb.com El Toro's drop is 76 degrees while Voyage's is 66 degrees. Which if you look at the picture of El Toro's drop you can tell that it is ridiculously steep.
Legend Rider
So does Toro now have the record instead of Voyage for steepest first drop? Indeed correct, but Holiday World came out with it first, and just havent changed it, there are actually people who still dont know about Toro, and for some people, they might not ever.
