When I went to CDBB I was pretty excited about sand volleyball but I didn't see it anywhere. Is is up now that isn't open. Or is it just not gonna happen? Just any info I was just wondering.

I saw that on the map too. But, it was in the place of Kookaburra Bay so I think it was a mistake. Sorry, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

no, it is NOT in the place of Kookaburra Bay. It is to the right of where Kooka should be.

I think it is supposed to be in the grass behind the Bay.... They promoted that they were going to have it at the end of last year, but I suppose either it hasn't happened yet, or didn't make the final cut.

It didn't make the final cut. Instead its room to lay out when theres no more chairs available.

It would have been hell to manage though. I mean how would you moderate a thing like that? People just cant randomly join and leave. But than again, you don't want to turn people down either.

If they did deside to build it, how many of you would truly use it?

Actually it would have been located right next to the changing rooms across from Outback. It would be neat to have one, but it would be a challenge to moderate it. You would have to have some sort of sign up sheet and it would probably have to be a pay thing. I'm not sure. It would be nice to have it out there, a lot of people said they would use it if they had it. We have one in the picinic grove but I think I've only seen it used once in the 3 years I've been working in the park.

The sand volleyball faced far too many challenges and they just let the idea go. Like DragonLord said, it would be hard to moderate. Also, from what I understand, they were quoted ridiculous amounts of money to install such a simple thing.
