Dane
PKICentral would like to address a few changes around the site here. We are doing a restructuring for these reasons: tightening up security for the site, making the forums experience smoother, advisement from the park, and clearing up a few loose ends. 1.We have decided to do away with the Employees of PKI forum. It was getting too hard to manage with the constant changes in employment. With the proprietary information that employees are subject to, it made it difficult for everyone to use and comply with Paramount Parks gag order. From the client employees posting information to the "high ups" that watched over it. It cause more harm than good it created. 2. We have changed the order of the forums taking out the sub-category. This should help in finding things alot easier as well as posting things in the correct category. 3. Forum & Photo Gallery Admins are Ryan (BoddaH1994), Bill (Zosobeast), and myself. Robbie (CoastersRZ) will be a global moderator on the forums. 4. More changes will be occurring around the site. This thread will be updated when those changes occur. If you have any questions or comments please PM me. Thank you for your continued support of PKICentral.com. I had never thought it would be as big as it is today at over 2200 members! Lets see if we cant break that 2500 mark when we turn three years old on Sept. 29. So tell your friends about us!

SOB_TOM
I feel so discarded..... Actually there not bad changes. But like any change, it will take awhile to adjust.
Avatar
Dane since you are taking the time to restructure the Forum and as you have so elegantly pointed out the problems with the Paramount Kings Island Employee secure section and decided to do away with it. Well that got me to thinking that if you were not going to be using that secure section anymore, then maybe you would consider an secure Grumpiness of the old folks section, Whops I meant a secure older something section in that space. Some members here on this forum, have so little respect for their elders (and they know who they are, and I won't point ^ fingers or anything but they spell grumpiness as grumpyness). We do sincerely appreciate any time that you may give in considering this matter. Thank-You. Avatar Grumpiness of the old folks # 1 supporter!! The Interpreter
Grumpy? I was hoping to be mistaken for Doc, but I guess it is better than Sleazy. Wait. Sleazy wasn't one of them!
Avatar
As one who has been there done that. I think I would have preferred to be known as Sleazy over Grumpy!! I see the support is growing. Gordon Bombay
Avatar, I think your idea of having a forum for adults, where mostly intelligent conversation can be held, is a good idea andit has been presented a few times. However, unfortuanently it is too easy to lie and just change your age on here (I used to do it all the time so that when they used announce birthdays on here they would announce mine like twice a week). It would be hard to enforce and where can you really cut the line? Over 30 forum? Well, I know some people in their 20's that are pretty intelligent, in fact two of them run this site. Over 21 forum? They can all drink but couldnt someone 20 years old be considered be considered an adult too. I like your idea a lot, and I HIGHLY agree with you that there are some members on here who dont respect the older posters, but I dont think it will happen on PKIC since it would be too hard to enforce. My suggestion to you is, maybe create a free Yahoo group or get one of those free trail version message boards, maybe even a myspace group and invite those from here that youd like to see in an adult forum, that way your talk is also not limited to PKI and PKIC still remains a fun place for everyone of all ages, that are atleast 13 years old or have written permission from a parent citing FCC rules and regulations . Browntggrr
Since the subject of "old" has come up. How old does a person have to be, to be considered old?
WooferBearATL
Since the subject of "old" has come up. How old does a person have to be, to be considered old? I'd say you're starting to get old when you hit your 70's or 80's. <G>
KIBeast
Age is not important so much as how old you feel. However, it seems that anyone over the age of about 28 around here would be considered the "oldsters".
TheKlockster
Since the subject of "old" has come up. How old does a person have to be, to be considered old? 13 Edit: I just wanted to apologize for anybody I may have offended by calling the one member of this forum who voted "51-60" in the demographics topic - a geezer. I think I know who voted for that - and it was meant as a joke. Hence the after my post. Anyways - sorry if I offended anyone - I meant no harm! Avatar
I would like to say and I don’t speak for anyone else but I have never took any thing that anyone has said on this forum towards me as anything but a good natured ribbing and have had a good chuckle with the ribbing that has went on back and forth. On the Demographics Poll one member made the remark basically saying that we are grumpy something, and I would haft to say that that kind of ribbing I enjoy and find humorous. But their has been a few post on some other thread that has attacked one of our members about age, job and blind personal actuations and that deeply offends me. I wrote the member affected to show support and tried to report the post but got error codes. I hope that we all can keep the old fashion good o ribbings going because I feel it gives this forum character. Above I asked Dane for a secure area for us older something’s, but it was really was meant to be more of a Jab back to the Grumpyness of the old folks post in the Poll. I hope that it was only taken as a joke. But some very good points were by some of the members in respnse to my post and I appreciate their response. So enough of that and back to the Best Forum on the net PKI Central.com P.S. I think Dane, Ryan, Bill and Robbie have done a fantastic job on this site and have set a wonderful example for us all to follow.
Browntggrr
Well I haven't hit the "geezer" stage yet , but being in my 30's, I must be going through the mid-life crisis stage as far as forums go.
