kinserman11
Hello, it's me again I was wondering if any members on this site recorded The Beast 25th anniversary video during 2004. I watched this video in line during my visit to the park in 2004 but couldn't see well because of the glare, and couldn't hear any of it either. If anyone has this video, could we work out a deal where you could record it on tape or dvd and send it to me, we could work out a fee for your services. Thanks, J.W. KIBeast
I don't have it, but if someone on here does, I'd love to have a copy myslef. I would be willing to pay.
PKIVortex
Yeah that would be cool. I wonder if we e-mailed PKI about it, if they could help us out.
Vortex
If anyone does find the video I would also pay for a copy. You think PKI would sell the video or put it on their web page?
Gordon Bombay
The video was for sale during the 2004 season in the parks gift shops, hopefully someone has the video and would be willing to make copies for a price. However, I personally have no desire EVER to see that video again. 2005 was my final year working at the park and my home ride was The Beast, i have that video memorized. The year was 1979... ...disco was still hot... ...Americans were watching Dallas on television.... ....and Monday Night Footballl ...while at the silver screen star trek was making its debut... ...and in a small corner of souther ohio... ...Something BIG was happening.... ...something huge.... ...a monster... ...it could only be called The Beast... ...and this is its story! Oh and I can go on MUCH longer.
ZosoBeast
... ...and this is its story! Oh and I can go on MUCH longer. No thank you. I dont ever rememeber that video being on sale. EVER! I know it was given away as prizes during the hunts but never for sale. But I, as always, can be wrong. I like The Beast. Bill

Vortex
The video was not for sale that year or the year after that. Some people in ACE have it.

kinserman11
Hi, it's J.W. again Just checking up to see if anyone has The Beast 25th anniversary video and would be willing to make a copy for me. I'm interested in this video and a big Beast fan. Thanks.
Buckeye-Beast
I looked high and low in all of the shops for that video and could never find it. I even e-mailed guest relations, but they never responded. I wanted a copy of it too, mainly because of the original television commercial being in it. ACErs are the only ones I know of who have it. kinserman11
Hi Klockster, This is J.W. Elliott again and would you be interested in making a copy of the disc for me, it would be appreciated. I can get you a mailing address and we can discuss payment details if you like. Would it be better if we discussed over the phone? Thanks.

KIBeast
Klockster, I too would also be willing to pay for a copy including shipping, the cost of the CD and then for the time you put into it.
PKIVortex
Ditto, I would enjoy a couple of it too. Maybe you could upload it somewhere? Is that possible?
SOB_TOM
Klock was being sarcastic people. Anyway, Ryan could probabily contact the park and get it there, since it was broadcasted through QTV on channel 14 I think.
TheKlockster
/\ Is it widescreen? Dolby Digital? Director Commentary? I don't believe it is widescreen - but the director's unrivaled genius can be seen in the great shots, and the quality of the editing! It is far better than any of those Cedar Point commercials disguised as Discovery Channel programs. I don't have the ability to copy DVDs - besides I don't think the person who originally gave it to me would be at all amused.
standbyme
At BeastBuzz that year we watched the movie in the Paramount Theater. If I remember right, Jeff Siebert announced that they could not sell the complete video because the park did not have the rights to the old Beast commercial that was in it. I also believe that the first place winners that year each got a free copy. As a side-note, I would rather own the Brady Bunch parody video...that one was great! KIBeast
Well, so much for that. I can't believe that someone else owns the rights to that video. How dumb was that? They must have paid to use footage of their own coaster. How embarassing.
HelixSpiral
because the park did not have the rights to the old Beast commercial that was in it LOL who else would have the rights to a Beast commercial? The video is on the PKI Ace Collector's Edition DVD. Other videos on the DVD are the Son of Beast Blair Witch parody from the 1999-2000 timeframe, the National Geographic Explorer parody that was a promo for TRTR, and the Brady Bunch KI episode parody that was a promo for IJ. CoastersRZ
Well, if I recall, The Beast commercial was an animated commercial. When they created it, the animator might have had some sort of royalty agreement. By default then, if the park were to sell a video with the commercial in it, the creator of the commercial would logically want to see some reimbursment. Not sure if this was the particular case with this commercial though.
King Bowser
Question- Does the park use the ''effects'' anymore like the roaring and the lights?? Havent been at the park in a long while and I'm not going to fearfest so unless they have the begining of November open for guests that will be my time to get a ride on The Beast. Gordon Bombay
^The Lights and no smoking speils in the station still work and The Beast roars on the lift hills are still on. The only thing removed was the roar in the station.
