Geauga Lake Today has just updated with more photos of the removal of X-Flight. Hmmm... I wonder if this topic will be in this particular forum forever.

very cool! it is getting exciting and progress is well underway, it appears.

Well where ever they ship it to hopefully X-flight will recieve a new coat of paint. It appears some of the supports in those pictures seem like they are starting to chip and flake.

Yea I am sure they will repaint it. The only thing is there is still alot of work on this ride to be done yet and with the ride be slated to open on Memorial Day weekend there isn't too much time left to do the work.

We don't know when the ride will open, we don't even know 100 % if the ride is coming to Kings Island yet. I think it has a pretty good chance of coming to Kings Island, but anything is still possible.

Well Memorial Day weekend is the rumor that I heard from someone is when the ride is supposed to opening. We will just have to wait and see.

It hasn't been painted since they installed it, it has rust everywhere. If they don't paint it it will be an eye soar. I think silver and green would look nice and give it the ufo feeling.

We dont know yet but i think we can all assume that we will be getting X-Flight. I would love to see a new coat of paint and some other improvements of the ride and maybe CF will not let this ride go to pot like Paramount did to Top Gun and Flight of Fear.

They almost always repaint rides after they move them.

Of course they're going to paint it, especially with it being moved and "renewed" somewhere else (hopefully KI).

It will be a new paint scheme. I do like the Green and Black, but Black and Blue, or Silver and Blue, or Silver and Blank. Just what I like.

I think they need to something that hasn't been done before color scheme wise. Maybe a red and a really dark blue color just throwing this up in the air black supports and yellow rails.

I am sure if x-flight comes to KI it will get a new paint job. KI and CF are not that cheap.

Vortex doesn't need one as bad as it did quite a few years ago. Vortex got painted in 2001, and only about 6 years ago. It doesn't look that bad right now. Top Gun is the one that could use some paint.

Geauga Lake Today, the site that Captain Nemo mentioned above, posted an update today of the dismanteling of X-Flight. Nothing major has happened with the ride. But they sure have accumulated a LOT of track in their parking lot. One has to wonder when they are going to begin shipping out the track and supports to the park that the ride will call its new home. I would imagine that that will occur relatively soon.

But how many days a park season are the Cinci skys actually blue? And the blue varies by the day when it actually is.

Seeing the photos of when Six Flags owned the park almost made me cry. I loved the park then it had alot of shows, animals, rides, and great coasters. I hate to see X-Flight leave GL it will be missed by alot of people who visit the park. I hope they don't remove anything else from the ride side but only time will tell. (My next guess will be Superman).
