SoB trains...we may already know!

Check out the above link. It is the updated ride stats page for SoB as of January 9 which is just 7 days ago. The page lists Premier still as the train manufacturer, if indeed they knew a month ago that they were changing trains I dont think they would update the stats until all arrangements were finalized. With that said, This is possibly the finalized version of what SoB will be!

They also used to have two pictures borrowed from PKICentral on ther, now they just have one.

They obviously left the opening date on there, I looked directly over that. The point is go to the Attraction fact sheet and you will see that they updated the SoB fact sheet on January 9th. The link doesnt show you when they updated it, so go the way I just stated. If aside from giving the opening in the present tense everything else is correct from now on then it appears that they will keep the premier trains.

I think all they did was first took out only looping wooden coaster, and took away the stats of the loop. Also remember when the first edited that page, they forgot to put Wooden coaster in the tallest and fastest category. It first read the tallest and fastest coaster on the planet. The forgot to add Wooden Coaster to that.

Three trains, with six cars each, holding a total of 36 riders per train.

Well if that is true it would have to be the PTC trains wouldn't it?

It STILL says that on the thrill rides summary (they REALLY need to fix that):

Son of Beast

If the father scared you, wait until you ride the son! The Tallest, Fastest Coaster on the Planet will send you screaming down it's 214-foot hill at speeds over 78 mph.

You've never experienced anything like this before. Not anywhere. Not ever.

Even the last part of that is not exactly what I would want to say about Son of Beast were I marketing it. I am quite sure many of the July 9 riders would agree they had never experienced anything like that before. Not anywhere. Not ever.

That wasn't even right in 2006. They had removed a car from each train and only ran two trains of five cars each. The third train never ran on a public day.

Yeah so as you can tell, they really never really edited the page complety in the first place. I still think that January 9th date is just from where they changed details about the loop.

Hopefully they will announce this when they announce X-Flight. Thats a big IF though.

But, note that that page claims three trains with six cars per train. While Kings Island does indeed own three trains for SoB, they have never had more than two trains on the track at any given time do to alterations to the block layout before the ride opened. Also, last year, they removed a car from the train to try and lighten the load. So the trains last year only had five cars instead of six. That information has not been updated on that page, which is proof that the accuracy of the Premier statement is questionable.

LOL who is supposed to update their site because they need alot of help. They might as well make PKIcentral the offical site.

I imagine soon it will not be a concern. I see the launch of a new website in the future or a very dramatic change in the site. In comparison to all the other Cedar Fair Parks Paramount Parks websites were never that great.
