mutedarkness
Cedar Point and geauga lake will open their season pass processing early to allow maxx pass users to go to opening day of Kings Island.
The Interpreter
That's very strange. We were assured at Carowinds that beginning January 1, 2007, any park in the chain open for the season would accept our temporary Maxx passes until such time as we had visited our home park. In other words, I could go to Great America, Cedar Point, Kings Island, etc., and then Carowinds, should I so choose. Only when I got to Carowinds would my temporary pass be traded for a permanent Maxx pass from Carowinds....
CoastersRZ
I do find that a little strange and interesting. I wonder if Kings Island will open there season pass processing center a couple weeks before the park opens, to alleviate the mass congestion of people transfering their temporary 2007 passes to their real passes on opening weekend. Otherwise, prepare to wait in some long lines before you can get into the park.
Captain Picard
It would be nice if they would mail out the real passes.
PKIVortex
Yeah I think they should mail us our actual passes. It wouldn't be that hard persay. I'm sure they have all of our information on file.
CoasterXtreme
That is great to hear, I was going to pay to get into KI on opening day. Now I don't have to.
cstrwomann
I bought my temporary pass in October of last year at KI are they going to open a few weeks earlier for processing or mail our passes to us? I would prefer that they mail them to avoid all the lines. I live a few hours away also so I would like to be able to ride the coasters also on the weekend. Last year they opened on the 15th of April why are they shortening the season?

If it is anything like it was in 2006, the processing center will be open during the week after we open on April 21 but as anything, the hours are subject to change. For security reasons, the temporary passes will be exchanged at the park and the processing only takes a couple of minutes. The best thing to do would be to either email or call the park and ask what the process will be and what the operation days and hours would be for the season pass processing center. As for the parking opening on April 21 and not sooner, the big reason might be weather but I am sure that CF made a business decision to open at that time. The Interpreter
Weather? Six Flags Great Adventure, known for being located MUCH further north than Kings Island, opens April 2. (Yes, a Monday). Weather?
cstrwomann
I was planning on going to the park (KI) on the weekend of April 21,2007 will they be processing passes then?

Delirium_Guy
I actually have a question if anyone knows the answer. I hadn't planned on renewing my PKI pass this year simply because I had a Worlds of Fun pass last season and I can renew it as a Maxx Pass for $84.95! Much better bargain, obviously. However, with the news that Gold Pass is back, I did some research on pki.com. I didn't see an option to purchase a Gold Maxx Pass? Does anyone know if that will be possible? Or will you have to choose either Gold or Maxx? I may have to renew my PKI pass just for the gold pass. Also of note, does anyone find it odd that ONLY at Geauga Lake can you purchase the All Ohio Parking Pass? Am I missing something off the Kings Island site? - Todd
Dalefan
They use to do that at Cedar Point the mail out real ones unless you wanted a new pic. They only did that if you was a pass holder the year before but they quit in 05. The all Ohio pass can be bought at Cedar Point from what the site said. So, if you buy a Maxx pass from Kings Island before whatever date they quit upgrading their passes to gold, it will be a gold pass at Kings Island (and my Carowinds pass will not be, nor will a renewed Worlds of Fun Maxx pass...or that is what I am being told.) Note too that you will not get home park benefits at more than one park unless you buy a pass from each...or at least that is their intention. Cedar Point is selling the all Ohio parking passes, see the THIRD paragraph under OTHER INFORMATION here (the first reference is to buying additional all Ohio parking passes): http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/admission...passes/info.cfm Note that they will not be available if it is raining! I bet Kings Island may be offering them as well. You may want to call them.
katsdada
I have a quick Maxx Pass question. I will be making my first trip to KI on Saturday, and i have a Maxx Pass I bought at Geauga Lake. Do I enter the park from the regular entrance, or do I have to go through a special entrance? Please let me know. Thanks!
