Was just surfing the Carowinds site and found this little gem:

A couple of things of particular note is they still refer to their Top Gun and Borg coasters as Top Gun and Borg..so it looks like the theming might be staying at least for this year. The other thing I noticed, and was quite excited about, was the return of the Nick Celebration Parade. I'm kind of curious as to whether or not I'm reading too far into the text, but it says "returning for the whole summer" so I'm wondering if all of the parks will be sporting the parade all summer long.

Why? Cedar Fair is quite capable of having the parade in more than one park at the same time! After all, if Sylvester and Tweety can be in every Six Flags park at the same time....

Heh...Got a little too excited and totally skipped over the dates.

Who knows? Maybe a few of the parks will be getting their own floats.

My guess is that all five of the once-Paramount Parks may well have their own Nick parade...

It would be nice to see...but if it does end up at only Carowinds, I'm just happy to see CF is bringing it back somewhere. It's a great parade! (And I'm not usually a parade type of guy)

Seems like any more there are quite a few things Geauga Lake once had....I sure hope Cedar Fair sees what potential that place has, and puts some nice things there to attract the locals...

Yeah reminds me of the Geauga Lake brochure I have sitting in this box, where carowinds has "2 PARKS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!" they have "WHAT A SURPRISE".......and yes what a surprise Geauga Lake was this year....a dissapoitning one that is.

Maybe next year Carowinds will be "what a surpise"

^Probably a pleasant one considering Ill walk through the main gates and be greeted with a flying coaster unlike at that other surprise park this season.

I always felt the parade should have been done all summer at each of the parks instead of being shipped around. But I have to wonder if thats whats happening or if its only going to be at Carowinds next year.

Well, I`d hope that it is at multiple parks. It still may be shipped around, but hopefully they now will have two sets of floats so that the parade can be occuring at two parks simultaneousely. It would make sense for each park to have its own Nick Parade, because it seemed to be very popular. Only time will tell if the Nick parade comes back to KI in 2007. Now, I wouldn`t anticipate seeing the KI brochure until after the announcement on February 5th...

The parade would be a huge hit once again if it returned to KI. Looks like Carowinds is getting an ice show as well as the parade.

Now does anyone else think that February 5 timing is pretty bad. It's a Monday and the day after the Superbowl. Everyone will either be hung over, talking about the game or the commercials or just plain recuperating from the holiday weekend.

Just wondering which park did the parade end the season at last year?

And where does the Paladium fit in here?

Paladium is the Ampitheater for Carowinds. Indeed, SFOG's Ampitheater is the Southern Star Ampitheater.

By the picture in the new for 2007, it looks like they are getting thier inverted ship, Frenzoid, back with a new name. It has been rumoured for awhile that it would return for the 2007 season.

The description kind of makes me want to think that as well.

Exciting times.

According to the last page of the brochure, Paramount Theatre is still listed as being a theatre. And the new logo seems to fit nicely in the brochure, definitely better than it looked when they first revealed it.

Also if you look at the description of Scarowinds it seems that it is going to be seeing some huge improvements, maybe making it more on the level of a certain scary farm?
