schwarry
^What would they do with it? It's looked fine for 10 seasons. With Firehawk going in, it's time to spice up the outside of the building (on and around) to meet the theme.
CoastersRZ
That update on KI`s website is from late last week. I`d imagine it won`t be long before some supports spring up. But based on the images on KI`s site, they still have a lot of footings to pour.
Discodude3737
I have no idea how one would go about spicing up the outside of FOF without making it look awful or extremely fake. I'm perfectly content with the plain, tan outside. Maybe some trees and bushes would work well.
The Interpreter
People need to remember that Cedar Fair has a nearly two billion debt to pay off. They just paid $1.24 BILLION for the Paramount Parks. Money is a finite resource. Money used to spruce up the outside of buildings is money that can't be used to fix broken concrete, make new restaurants, etc. Choices MUST be made. I doubt that sprucing up the outside of Flight of Fear has ANY priority whatsoever. Almost no one even looks at it now...it's a part of the accepted landscape that the eye has grown accustomed to. Cory Butcher
And, once your on Firehawk, youll be moving so much facing the ground that you probably wont even notice it from that perspective!
flightoffear1996
I thought I heard some where that they paid for the parks in cash.

The Interpreter
I thought I heard some where that they paid for the parks in cash. Yep. CBS insisted on it. And where do you think Cedar Fair got that cash? HINT: All Cedar Fair property is now pledged to the banks....including the newly acquired properties. Jasper
Wow Firehawk is coming along nicely. I cannot wait to see this thing up and running. Cedar Fair paid for those parks in cash!?!?! Wow i would have loved to have seen all of thos bills they passed to them. I wonder how Six Flags paid for their parks?
Cory Butcher
Yah I had heard that Cedar Fair actually was loaned enough to cover the parks for the next couple years incase something happens! I suppose that there must not be a minimum amount of time to pay back the loan, because if there was, that would be a large mistake to pay interest on a loan in which some of it you didnt even end up needing.
