LongLiveTheSmurfRide
I liked back when they were showing Mighty Mouse and Heckle & Jeckle cartoons and Dr. Katz shorts on the TV's. Does Cedar Point still do the DJ thing? I've been going once or twice a year for the last 10 years. They had DJ's in the late 90's at Raptor and Magnum, but I don't think I've seen a DJ there since there was one in the Millenium Force queue back when it first opened. Obviously I could just be going on days where they didn't have one anywhere, but it seemed to me that they were a thing of the past. I did enjoy them though. I also remember when Mantis first put the TV's in, it had a History of CP show always on it, then they had music videos, and now they're covered with just music blasting from the speakers. I wonder if there are even TV's under the covers they have anymore. I think it'd be cool to have DJ's at KI. They always gave the lines a party atmosphere where people would be singing along. You could even request songs from the DJ's selection if you could get him to hear you over the music.
Rivertown Lumberjack
I've seen them on the past couple years I've gone. I have a feeling that those DJs are probably last on their list of places to staff though. That might explain why they are never there, who knows. I did always enjoy those DJs though because it really did make the atmosphere while waiting in line a lot more enjoyable. I'd take the Djs over Q-tv any day provided the Djs were always staffed. The Interpreter
Bump... You know, I really am surprised we haven't seen DJ's come to Kings Island queue lines...
BoddaH1994
Bump... You know, I really am surprised we haven't seen DJ's come to Kings Island queue lines... The Cedar Fair-ization of the parks is far from complete. I am in no way implying that this is going to happen... I honestly don't know, however I wouldn't be surprised if the 09 addition had a DJ. The Interpreter
Add that and the prominent and many misting fans and I'd be pleased that those two aspects of Cedar Fair parks finally made appearances at Kings Island.

Also the music in the Mantis queue line is the same as the music in the videos-they simply turned the video portion off. It would be nice if they could have DJ's in The Beast and Firehawk lines. I suspect the new ride will have western music like Maverick, so unlikely we will see DJ"s there.
clbehymer
Not being mean or anything, but why is it thought that this will have a western theme? Is Rivertown really a western themed area?

Misting machines would be wonderful, regardles of whether there are DJ's.
iChase
Not being mean or anything, but why is it thought that this will have a western theme? Is Rivertown really a western themed area? Not technically. It's supposed to be Ohio's heritage. But the two get confused.
The Interpreter
Perhaps they mean Western as in "Norfolk & Western." Tee Hee.
mikejenkins1
Well that area on the platform of The Beast (little box area) used to be the DJ area back in the 80's. So with the retro thing in play, why not bring it back for the night time runs?

Yes, misting fans please. More shade in queue lines too.
