Worldwide amusement park 2006 attendence figures

Featured Replies

^ Fantastic information. Thanks for posting the link!

As with the other attendance figures, one has to wonder how accurate these figures are. I know that the ones that Amusement Business released were not the most accurate of numbers.

^ ^as always, and their (Disney's) increases from last year were particularly impressive this year.

What really suprised me was how terrible SFMM's listed attendance was...I knew it wasn't great, but come on! Half a million fewer visitors than KI for a park that's (essentially) open year-round, and in the second largest metro in the country. No wonder SF seriously considered dumping it...

It seems that last year was VERY bad for regionals. I am shocked that SFGA in New Jersey lost 8% attendance.

I'm curious to why. Any ideas?

Have a great day!

Why?

$15 parking.

For starters...

Also, although El Toro is a great coaster, it would help tremendously if it had actually opened when the season started, if the coasters in the park all actually ran at the same time and with all trains, etc.

Note that although attendance fell drastically at ALL Six Flags, per caps greatly increased, and revenue was about the same. Meanwhile, the Cedar Points of the world lowered prices and did not get enough revenue to make up for the lowered prices. So, this year, apparently we are going to see higher food prices (no 25 cent cotton candy, as if that mattered) at the Cedar Fair parks.
