I was at Cedar Point, when that tornado was taking place. The tornado was over lake erie.

It is not a tornado. It is called a water spout. It dissapates fairly quickly once it reaches land, and usually does not cause any land damage. Now for objects in the water, like boats, it could be a different story.

The only time I can remember CP closing early is back in 2003 for the Great Eastern US blackout:

My understanding is that it's called a water spout because it's over water. When it gets to land it's called a tornado. I wasn't there but it looks big enough that I wouldn't want to have been in it's path.

Just remember that this is Ohio and the weather can change from hour to hour so if you do not like it, just wait and it will change. :rolleyes:
