BoddaH1994
It still says Flight of Fear. I'm guessing that will change once Firehawk is open.

welchce
Yeah, I was wondering when they were going to add Firehawk to the sign. I'm guessing they'll just shift FoF over to the left a little and then Firehawk will be offset to the right on the arc since that's how they are situated in the area. upstop
They should call it Fort Cooper and start a new theme area.
The Interpreter
Don't you mean Fort Kinzel? Ms. Cooper has left the building, but her name hasn't...at least not yet.
Captain Picard
We will still have Mini Cooper.

upstop
I thought Fort Cooper was named after Gordon Cooper, the astronaut that saw a UFO? And it may sound stupid.... but who is Ms Cooper?
The Interpreter
Jane Cooper was at one time President and CEO of Paramount Parks, and later Chair of International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (aka IAAPA). It is for her that Fort Cooper was named. Given Mr. Kinzel's position as head of the company that now owns Kings Island, Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, it would be fitting that Fort Cooper be renamed Fort Kinzel, don't you think? jzarley
Never has one ride been so improved simply by swapping out OTSRs for lap bars! In the original version, your head would bounce back and forth so much between the restraints, you'd swear that your ears were going to be ripped off. In the second version, they added a ridiculous amount of padding to restraints in order to minimize head movement. I've never really suffered from claustrophobia (sp?), but the head padding on those restraints seemed to have that affect on me. (A friend used to say that they reminded him of those "halo" contraptions that people with severe neck injuries have to wear ) After they removed the OTSRs and replaced them with the lapbars, it's like a completely different ride for me. Before, I could never enjoy the ride much after the launch portion because I was concentrating too hard on minimizing head pain...now I can actually enjoy the whole ride I used to only ride FoF maybe once in a season...now it's a must ride everytime I'm at the park. retsamemag111
I dont know if this is where i should be asking this. Is Flight of Fear worth a good wait? Because i just went to disney world and waited 60 mins for rock n roller coaster which is VERY short and i felt like at the max i would of waited 30 mins. And they are both enclosed launching coasters so just wondering.
The Interpreter
Rock N Roller Coaster and Flight of Fear are very different experiences. Whether or not either is worth a long wait is an entirely subjective thing. Every person will have his or her own answer. We can't tell you what you will think. All I know is that Flight of Fear is [currently] my favorite roller coaster at Kings Island. At least until Memorial Day weekend, that is.
