Firehawk Trains

Featured Replies

So they were using both stations and then went to just one? Hmmm wonder what that was about?

Yes. I was in the line that went under the bridge and down the stairs.

It is odd, but the Red train has a few seats that don't work properly and are closed for now.

the line did go REALLY fast after the host let you in one of the lines that takes you to the station.

Maybe the afternoon crew didnt have enough people? I rode earily in the morning..

Yeah the Red Train had seats that weren't working last Wednesday. Does the trains go the same station everytime? Like Yellow to the left side, and Red to the right?

I doubt that it matters, but if both stations are open they will probably keep one color to each side just to keep it a fair wait between the two sides.

It did when both stations were running.

what killed me was that people STILL had loose articles. Theres no place to put them, so the lockers would be a good choice!

The track is so cool when it flips to switch between the stations.

Another thought right after I hit the post button.... if the rumored third train comes, then the colors will constantly switch sides.

Six Flags originally had a 3rd train for the ride, but it didn't work out for them either. They quickly parted the 3rd train. We won't see a 3rd.

It actually worked fine, as it did at Batwing.

The reason they used it for parts is because funds for Worlds of Adventure were short and they needed to keep as many trains at they could working...this was broken on one, that on the other, put the two of them together and PRESTO...working train.

Borg has only two trains...

Actually I think its better having only two trains on Firehawk the more I think about it but they really need to get that dueling station working. That would cut down on the line about 55%-60% at least.

Agreed. If they can use both loading platforms, it will increase capacity as they won`t have a train sitting on the brake run for a minute waiting for the other train to be dispatched. That being said, regardless if they are using one or both platforms, having two trains running is a lot better for capacity than just single train operation.

A 3rd train would also mean that there is always a train waiting at the stop. Laying on your back with a head rush is not the most comfortable thing and if there is a station delay or the ride goes down and you are laying there for awhile with your legs up and head down, that is not comfortable.

I would really like to see them get both trains running efficiently on each side.

^^Yes-and consistently. If/when they get both stations working for most of the day everyday (at least for it's opening season), the capacity should be drastically better and there won't be a need for a third train. I have seen rides with duel stations that keep the line almost constantly moving.

Which I'm sure they will in due time. Or is it do time LOL. I'm sure KI wants the ride to run efficiently and effect, not just for them, but so Guests don't have to wait forever to ride Firehawk either. But at least they using both trains now. I plan on going on Wednesday I hope both trains are still running.

Yes, I can confirm that both trains were running today. They were only using the station closest to the ride area, resulting in every single train stacking. I also endured a forty five minute weather delay as thunder and lightning could be seen to the west. Eventually rain came, and the shading devices in the line are not very water proof! With the weather delay, I waited two hours.

And, they are selling the first rider Firehawk T-shirts for $5 at the photo booth!

Oh yea, I remember that. I was over at 3 Point Challenge when everyone ran away. Vortex trains were left out to be filled with water XD. Oh well, for me, it felt awesome. If you heard someone babbling about '3Pt. Rain Record' that was me on the mic :P

i was there today, both trains were running and they are using both stations for dual loading, dont know if that was confirmed of not

That totally sucks, if thats the case I won't be riding it tomorrow. :(

As of today (6/5) they were back to 1 train on one side of the station.

At What time did you ride?

When I went at about 2:30, both trains were running

Huh, thats weird, i believe it was around 3 or 4.

Today i rode Firehawk around 11am. only 1 train was working.

The first day FH opened they said the dural loading station would only use both sides on weekends and on very busy days.

Just a question, does anyone know when FoF will have it's video???

I would think even not on such busy days, they would still run 2 trains.

Well i would say a 2 hour wait for the ride would classify it as being busy seeing as most other waits in the park are under 1 hour.

I waited 1 and a half hours for Firehawk, the other train opened later, probably because the line got alot bigger.

All though, i was riding The Racer around 7 and Firehawk had a very short line [well still long, but short for Firehawk.]

I just think they should do what's in the best interest in the Guests. If both trains are safe and able to be ran they should use both of them. If they don't have the Staff for both stations then they really aren't a need to run both stations all the time. Borg only has 1 station and runs 2 trains. Yes with one station that does mean they may be a little delay in bringing you into the station, but if it helps with the line then so be it.

Firehawk just needs to work both trains as much as they can.

Really with just 2 trains that is still kind of a low capacity, most roller coasters have 3 trains, heck some have more!

Isnt the hourly capacity with 1 station 1 train like 300? What is it with both stations running?

Each train is suspose to take 400 PPH, (People Per Hour). Both trains would equal 800 PPH.

The rule of thumb should be to always have both stations running unless it's extremly slow, not open the 2nd one if it's extremely busy, at least for the first season it's open!
