FOFirehawkFAN
Ok so I had just waited for Firehawk from 10:00 - 1:45 then went straight for my brothers favorite ride Tomb Raider. The line wasn't too long so after about 20 min we were strapped into our seats only to be removed and sent back to the line due to something that shut the ride down. So we waited for another 15 min and when we finally got back on the ride about 30 seconds from the end it broke down and we were in free swing for about 5 min then stuck when the ride stopped for about another 10 min. Has this type of thing ever happened to anyone else. Also today we got stuck for a very minimal time on IJST and Adventure Express.
Ki Man
Soo...you just rocked back and forth? That seems very very odd.
DeLorean Rider
Rides break down all the time its nothing new. Also TR would not swing more than 30 seconds without gravity stopping it.

Well it did. It broke down while the gondolla was at the very top.
FOFirehawkFAN
Soo...you just rocked back and forth? That seems very very odd. It was kinda cool but still scary cause I knew right away something was wrong cause id ridden TMTR over 30 times.
CYoung2003
It just E-Stopped itself. Happens
BoddaH1994
I had a similiar experience when the final breaks mis-caught. No big deal, but certainly fun.
Ki Man
Ah, that's what I assumed. And yea...would be cool and freaky at the same time.
flightoffear1996
I have nver been on Tomb Raider when its broken down. Did anyone else notice it was running at full capcity?
DeLorean Rider
The ride now has 67 seats on the gondola instead of the 77 it had before, thats the difference.
FOFirehawkFAN
The ride now has 67 seats on the gondola instead of the 77 it had before, thats the difference. I didn't know that, so they actually replaced the gondola to one that had fewer seats?
BoddaH1994
No, the fenced section at the far end is where they removed a few seats.
PKIVortex
And it looks much better too, it always looked funny seeing all of the seats they didn't use.

The Interpreter
Because the ride did not function properly with them occupied. To put it mildly.
art_star
anyone know what it was like with those seats filled? Tomb Raider has broken down while I was in line more than any other ride I have been on. It is surely a fun ride though.
The Interpreter
Let me say it again. The ride did not function properly with those seats filled. More than that I will not say. . . .
FOFirehawkFAN
God I went to KI again and TRTR was closed for the last 4 hours the park was open!! Is this ride ever open? Or does it ever give 2 full rides before breaking down?
Jeffy
Because the ride did not function properly with them occupied. To put it mildly. That reminds me of the time I got stuck in the Sky Lift that they took out a long time ago that transported you from one side of the park to the other. We stayed up there for what seemed like hours. coasterfan09
So have they figured out what's up with it yet, that's one of my favorites. I'd rather not ride and get stuck upside down. But then again....gravity.....nevermind.

coasterguy1991
Yesterday it was running without any sound. It wasnt as fun without it.
odettekitrigisele
Yesterday it was running without any sound. It wasnt as fun without it. I was there yesterday and I noticed that too. The ride seemed different and not as exciting, so I know what you mean. At least the line wasn't long so that was nice. (It was not long at the time I rode it). I like Tomb Raider but I won't wait more than 30 min. for it. (and that's pushing it) Firehawk line wasn't too bad. At first they only had one train running, but then they had a second one going and the line started moving along.
kjkjkj
yeah without sound yesterday, it seemed like a bunch of pointless flashing lights! I hope they fix it soon.
A_Titanic_Mess
TRTR has never worked the way it was intended. About 30 seconds was cut from the ride cycle right from the start. The ride was supposed to do three full rolls at the end of the cycle while the gondola spun also. Not enough power could be generated to complete the cycle. Some of you may have noticed that the ride seems to end abruptly...this is why. Fun ride though. I hope KI will keep the special effects in working order. cincyboy729
I was there on the 11th and it stopped at the talking head for about 30 seconds longer than I recall, and the audio was dead for the entire ride. Made for some interesting conversation... Matt
KIfan73
Tomb Raider has been one of my favorite rides, but, man, was it horrible on Tuesday with no audio. I heard people riding it at the same time talking about "wow, I didn't know it was this kind of ride". I thought, too bad no soundtrack...it really isn't the same ride without the music. I don't see myself getting on it again, to be honest...
Kawana
I was at KI yesterday. I didn't even bother getting in line for TR:TR because the line looked uber long, and I wasn't interested. I have never ridden it. Is it even worth riding? I would wait about 25-30 minutes tops.
PKIVortex
TR:TR is one of those rides for me, that I can skip. However if the line is sort I will do it. But if the effects are going down the tube, what's the point?
coasterfan09
I'm going thursday and I love that ride so I hope they get everything going again.
