The Interpreter
And STILL there is not a single sit-down, table-service restaurant at Kings Island. It may well be the largest park in the country without one. True in 2007. Apparently STILL true now. Sigh.
brick52
I love the blue ice cream. It is the best ice cream anywhere.
Plankton
I love the blue ice cream. It is the best ice cream anywhere. I agree, and blue moon ice cream does not cut it.
mtl2013
AAAAHH I loveblue ice cream.....and yes they still have it in Nick U, and Action Zone. haha...when I was a little kid, my mom used to say it was melted smurfs....ya. haha i know, weird. edit: blue "icecream"
The Interpreter
As I have stated in the past, that stuff is NOT blue ice cream. It is blue, imitation soft serve ice cream. There is a huge difference. I only wish that the park served real frozen custard...as Cedar Point does at two locations (but not the rest)... Diamondback96
As I have stated in the past, that stuff is NOT blue ice cream. It is blue, imitation soft serve ice cream. There is a huge difference. Doesn't change my opinion that it's good, though! In fact, I don't really care what type of "ice cream" it is! AgentSoB
Yum... I want a blue ice cream cone so bad lol. I had one almost every trip, including when I worked haunt. It is a staple of my Kings Island visits just as the custard is a CP. (Which sounds good too)
kjkjkj
Mmmmmm......I could go for a blue imitation soft serve ice cream right about now. I am addicted to blue "icecream"! It's so good. I get it every time or at least every other time I go to Kings Island in the summer.
CincyMan98
Blue ice cream is awesome; I've never thought of a fruit flavored ice cream before.
gigacoaster2k
I really, really like the frozen custard at Cedar Point...not the soft serve ice cream over by Disaster Transport, but the frozen custard served in the middle of the midway by the fountain. YUM! I had a chocolate vanilla swirl custard at CP last year (I got it somewhere in the back of the park, I can't remember the name of the place).. I agree, it was amazing. Far better than any ice cream I've ever had.
Scooby_Doo
A smurf cone? PLEASE AND THANK YOU! I love that smurfy blue ice cream! mmmm...so good!
The Interpreter
As I have said earlier tonight, I can see prices going either up OR down...neither would surprise me. And much depends on 040810.
Guest IceCream329
If any change at all it would go up a few cents but not enough to really be noticed by guests, maybe by KI nerds like us but if any change to price's most folks won't notice it. Also if whatever happens on 040810 it won't effect KI, it would be to close to opening day, everything would already be set in stone, but things, if any, could change slowly over the season, but Dick K has already stated that if anything happens with CF and Apollo that none of the parks or guests would notice a thing, just in the cooperate offices ...I sure do hope nothing changes, I love CF!! The Interpreter
I hate to break this to you, but if new management/owners take over, prices can be changed in a matter of hours. And I am not talking about Apollo....not at all.
Guest IceCream329
True but Apollo is not out to change CF and how the parks operate they just want to help with Financial problems and get CF back to being the best it can be....that is what I read of course. The Interpreter
Let me say this one last time (then I am going to bed!). I am not talking about an ownership change with Apollo buying the parks. I think that is probably the least likely of the three most probable scenarios. I can easily see Mr. Kinzel & Co. gone before Kings Island opens, with Apollo licking its wounds having not gotten either Cedar Fair nor Six Flags (which it wanted)...or even possibly with Apollo buying Six Flags from the junior bondholders (which could happen). It all depends on what that Texas gentleman is up to. And he may have his own idea what blue imitation soft serve ice cream should sell for. If he does, it will sell for that, should he get control, which he may well.
