Purplehaze
Cedar Fair does NOT report the attendance of individual parks. sorry boddha but they do, maybe not to the media but they do so how can you say they dont and end of story?
FOFirehawkFAN
I was reading all of this and thought there is know way there down because all 7 times that i have been this year they have been packed. I agree I have been 5 times this summer from opening weekend, memorial day weekend to now and it has been way busier than most days I went last summer or the summer before. I honestly think attendance is up.
Purplehaze
I was there today, the park was not crowded, well I guess it was ok for a tuesday. Boomerang Bay was sparse at best so I went and had a 2 hour nap on a cozy lawn chair...lol

I waited about 20-30min for Delerium last year at this time it was a walk on all day long (at least the days I went) The only 2 rides without lines today were Top Gun and Adventure Express. jzarley
Cedar Fair does NOT report the attendance of individual parks. sorry boddha but they do, maybe not to the media but they do so how can you say they dont and end of story? Park chains do not make public attendance or revenue information on a per-park basis. That's true of CF and all the other park chains as well. (Viacom/CBS in their financial reporting didn't even separate out the parks from other business lines...they were grouped in with other units.) The attendance figures you see posted at the end of year by Amusement Business (and it's successor) are estimates--not reported by the parks themselves. (Although, I've always made the assumption that they were pretty accurate estimates...) Of course, what the parks report and track internally is a completely different matter. For example, I'm absolutely sure that within the company the data is available to compare the Rivertown Potato Company's revenue yesterday with revenue from the first Monday in June last year (and the year before that, and the year before that, etc...) But those are internal metrics--it's not information reported to the public or the media.
pkifreakhogg
I also think that they are way more busy this year compared to last. It has been really warm in the spring and it really hasn't rained on the weekends very much.
PKIVortex
I thought the park was pretty busy yesterday. I remember alot of times last year going during the week, and almost every ride was a walk-on or had very short waits.
italianchef
Both my wife and son prefer GWL to KI. Although I love GWL, I prefer KI for its coasters.
