July 28, 200422 yr Welcome to the forums. I think you'll find, that since this is a PKI board you're going to get a lot of replys saying PKI is better. Personally, I've never been to PKD, so I can't give an accurate answer. Could you please explain your answer? Once again welcome to the forum, and I hope that you have a good time here.
July 28, 200422 yr My guess is PKI because it is paramounts main park and they have most of their money into the park and have the best woodens in the world.
July 28, 200422 yr I've never been to PKD, but regardless of what happens, my heart will always be with PKI! ***Moving to the Battle Room
July 28, 200422 yr I have been to PKD and like them about the same. When you go to PKD its like going to PKI with different rides. Now when it comes to how nice and Professional the employees are PKD wins over PKI.
July 28, 200422 yr I'll let you know next year after I make a three park trip tour that will include PKD, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and Hersheypark. Otherwise, I'd have to say PKI since I have never been to PKD. Looking forward to that trip next year.
August 10, 200422 yr In The Idea Of Roller Coasters,PKI Is King! In The Idea Of Kiddie Areas,PKI Wins! In The Idea Of Family Attractions,PKI! Don't Get Me Wrong,I Like PKD To
August 11, 200422 yr PKI because it is unique and has been the Best Kids Place for 3 years! It is unique because The Vortex is much different than the other 3 and no other parkin in the world has the only looping wooden coaster, and the best, and longest roller coaster and the first park to have a family inverted coaster, and the tallest gyro Drop Tower in the world, also the tallest Drop Tower in the world says Guines Book Of World Records 2000, With That I present the most popular rides in the park The Beast The Son of Beast The Vortex Drop Zone and Rugrats Runaway Reptar! ~VL2
August 13, 200422 yr This really is a hard question to answer...You say the coasters at PKI are better...But what about Hypersonic XLC and Volcano @ PKD...Those 2 are better coasters than anything at PKI....BUT the rest of PKD coasters...Suck (For lack of a better word) The woodies are horrendous...Very small and rougher than the SOB. The people at both parks are very comparable in attitude and composure...Which is very nice and more than acceptable. The layout of PKD is all messed up whereas PKI has a nice and easily navagational park layout. I do believe that if PKI would get Volcano and Hypersonic XLC in their park then we would have a park that would be comparable to any Disney park or Universal Park...I guess it just comes down to taste...Who likes which coaster better myself personally I like Volcano...I've been on almost 50 different coasters and this is by far my favorite. But as for the parks....I'm glad I live in Cincy...I love PKI.
August 13, 200422 yr ^^ Yeah, PKD does have those 2 excellent rides, I'd love for PKI to have them. I heard they looked into building Volcano, but the cost was just too much(building the Volcano itself, which PKD already had before they build the coaster), but it seems like Hypersonic will remain PKD only, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it almost always down? Still, a cool ride, with some theming it could really be incredible.
August 14, 200422 yr PKD is the park you want to go to if you like launching coasters (Volcano, Hypersonic, and FOF). But if you want family thrills, go to PKI. I really liked PKD, but if you go to Virgina, I would say go to BGW instead. :offtopic: Anyways, I really liked the atmosphere at PKD better than at PKI. PKD seems to be more wooded and closer together, and I liked that. PKI seems to be spread out (I mean that the coasters make a loop at PKI and it is a long walk between them, whereas PKD's coaster, while they make a loop, seem to be closer together). I will call this one a draw.
August 14, 200422 yr Never been to PKD and they seem to have a few cool coasters but PKI will always be my favorite!
August 14, 200422 yr Vortexlover2, you also forgot that PKI had the first suspended coaster in the world...The Bat.
