  1. My bad you meant the free fast pass ticket for the platinum pass. I misunderstood but that is good to know becuase customer service told me that i could get one at any park i want.
  2. Also you have to pay attention to the Fast Lane passes becuase there is a fast pass for each park but then a Fast Lane pass for all parks. Unfortunately it looks like you only purchased the park specific one and not the one for all parks. The one for all parks is $850 I believe.
  3. I agree with this. Majority of the GP absolutely love DB so what is the problem with a “bigger DB” to me that sounds amazing. Now when everyone rides it next year I think they will definitely think differently but it will take them riding Orion first to see how much different it really is. Which is fine with me. We don’t need the longest or the tallest giga. I would prefer a record breaking RMC or record breaking blitz coaster.
  4. I feel like that is why the brake run and everything is so high. At least that is what I want to believe is they are planning on putting a pathway under the hill and brake run to open up that area for an expansion with some flat rides the next few years after the giga.
  5. I don’t understand this because I was at CP in late June and another time in early July. The max time I waited for SteVe was 50 seconds per train. I don’t feel like that is terrible. The ride ops would basically ask you if you put items in the bag or not and then checked the restraints.
  6. Haha!!! I second that. Our kids are old enough to go off on their own so I think that would be a great addition. Now that I think of it they definitely need another bar in Soak City anyways so why not a poolside bar like Cedar Point. @Kingshaven I agree with you about The Racer. Some say it is much better but I do not agree. It needs a lot more work becuase it shacks the s*** out of me. Unfortunately not fun to ride for me at all.
  7. I get that. That’s why I asked becuase I didn’t exactly know what you meant as expansion. Definitely needs a few more slides and the kids area definitely needs some fixing up. Kids area could possibly go under regular yearly maintenance kinda like they said they were going to do with The Racers. I would love to see more track replacement until it’s 100% smooth
  8. I understand that but at the same time no one expected Mystic Timbers to come when it did. It was not really a need for the park and they built that. Now we are getting a giga again 3 years later so just from that stand point the mind frame makes sense it will be every 3. However I agree with every 4 years though every three years would be crazy fast for building that many coasters that often.
  9. Sorry for the double post but also do we really need a Soak City expansion. I am not saying we do or not. I am actually curious about what people think about this. My opinion it could definitely use a few more different slides in the back but I feel like the lines are not to bad. Actually what they really need is more chairs and lounge chairs even if it is in the grass areas.
  10. I do not agree with this. Cedar Fair has already shown that they are investing in the major parks more than the others. I do not see Kings Island going over 5 years with out a coaster just for the reason they need to make sure Kings Island stays relevant. Also someone mentioned Blacktopping would cost roughly 6 million not saying they would do it all but really 6 million is nothing when you look at how much they put into the parks during an off year. They could easily break this down into a three year project at 2 million a piece but I doubt it will happen.
  11. I think this brings me back to wanting something different so there is less to compare too. Obviously B&M is all about reliability. Now that we have three I think something a little bit riskier would be great like how Cedar Fair took a chance on Mack’s multi launch. I know I said it before but Vekoma has some great looking concepts, S&S, and Chance Rides also have great potential so hopefully by the time it’s Kings Island turn for a coaster we could see something from one of them. Especially since it will be at least 4 years there would be enough time pass for those manufacturers to prove their coasters don’t have crazy maintenance problems. That also means if Cedar Fair doesn’t want to give Kings Island their RMC. I think everyone can agree we absolutely would love a RMC next. (Preferably a world record breaking since SteVe will no longer have any with zadra and gwazi coming)
  12. I would rather have a floorless than a dive. At Cedar Point Rougarou was much better than Valravn. I felt like CP dive coaster was just going thru the motions. A ground up floorless (especially in Vortex spot) I feel like could be a great large layout that is intense and fun. If they go with a dive coaster I feel like it needs more space than The Vortex spot to be great or it will be very lackluster. Someone correct me if I am wrong but has there been a ground up floorless. I feel like they are only for stand up conversions.
  13. I never realized that Outlaw Run was a ground up RMC so if that is the case and if KI wasn’t going for a record breaking coaster that style would not be a bad option at all.
  14. The only problem with this is a ground up RMC would not be cheap. A retrack for RMC would be say 10 million so a ground up would still be roughly 20 million if not more.
  15. I know a RMC is the obvious choice but how about some different options. If they had to remove Vortex what about a Chance Hyper GT-X coaster but custom built for the area. I have heard great things about the coaster and would be kinda cool to replace The Vortex with something very similar. Also instead of an Intamin blitz what about a custom built Vekoma shockwave style coaster. I know they have not had the best history but they seemed to have turned a corner. If not a multi launch maybe a Vekoma Bermuda Blitz. I don’t think they have any launch but have the same type of layout and twist and turns as a launch. I would just love some variety in the park going forward.
  16. At the end of the day it’s his opinion and kudos to him for writing about it. However, when he responds on Twitter with “Logic and reason cannot be used in a coaster debate. Please come up with something else.” That is all you need to know about the type of person he his. No reason to even argue with someone like that. When you have hyper coasters like phantoms revenge that only have a hyper hill and then you have magnum only with a hyper lift it clearly shows amusement parks agree it can be either way. When someone wants to disagree with that logic there is no use but hey kudos to him for writing about what he wants to believe. Also he technically only being “ostracized” on this site which is a Kings Island forum so why would you actually create an account to defend him of course everyone on here would disagree with him.
  17. I love the concept @Hawaiiancoasters325 and think a winged coaster would look great in that area and if we did get another B&M I would definitely want a wing coaster out of them all maybe a record breaking floorless but a dive coaster to me was nothing special even in the front row. If not a wing coaster and maybe even before I would actually love to see a multi launch coaster by Mack or S&S. We all know Intamin is probably not going to happen. In my opinion a launch would be a great option becuase it would help free up the FOF line. I love FOF but hate waiting the hour or so it takes and with the giga it is only going to be worse going forward. It would also be nice to have a different ride experience with a different type of restraint and different type of manufacturer.
  18. Like I said I would never agree with removing Vortex when it is still functioning or has low maintenance costs. I agree 100% with it being a steeping stone to bigger coasters. Also I said my opinion about The Racers was not a well liked one. Yes The Racers hit 1 million riders but let’s not forget that is with 2 coasters which is 2,640 rides per hour so not that good really. If they had a dueling RMC you can’t tell me they would not be getting 1 million riders a year easy with two sides. I was never saying removing both coasters but eventually they will have to replace one of them. I get the whole family thing since I bring my family multiple times a year. Which brings up a good point about flat rides and making sure they install family friendly (tame flat rides) becuase they obviously do great at the park and allow kids in that in between stage to do something more exciting than kiddie land. I feel like they do better than extreme flat rides at Kings Island.
  19. Yes it was a few pages back but I have attached them hopefully you can see them. They were from instagram connect.by.coasters.
  20. She was just saying that the index states there are other plans for each section even though they only have the electrical plans filed. Also there was someone on reddit stating they received additional plans from Mason the other day.
  21. Yeah. I love the history of the ride and what it started. However does that justify it to be a walk on coaster for the next 20 years. Besides the fact that the coaster is still rough after all the work they did for this year. Like I said my opinion is hated when it comes to The Racers but something needs to be done it’s in a great location.
  22. I am not talking about doing it on any launch coasters. I have never had whiplash happen to me. Actually nothing even close to that has happen. My whole family uses that trick.
  23. I think that is what they are doing with The Vortex letting it go. I do not see why you would spend the money on painting it. In my opinion it’s not worth it. I love the ride as a middle tier stepping stone. My niece rode it for the first time this year becuase she was scared of Banshee. She loved it and it’s only a matter of time before she is wanting to do Banshee. I have learned a trick to riding Vortex or any ride your head bangs. I always lean my head forward it somehow works so my head doesn’t bang and it actually makes the ride seem smoother. So based on that never tear down a ride that is functioning and doesn’t cost much to repair (if that is the case). That being said I would rather have a bigger better ride in that spot though any of the suggested sounds great. I am also one who would love to see The Racers turned into some type of racing RMC. The Racers do not bring a line like it use too. (I get it on a Saturday you might wait 10 minutes but thats not like the old days) RMC would bring them back to their hay day as one of the best coasters at the park and if it is a nostalgia thing then (tie it into the Son of Beast and racers) call it The Racers Unleashed becuase at the end of the day we all know they have The Beast for nostalgia. They do not need The Racers and Vortex for nostalgia purposes. As far as flat rides I would love a Skyhawk ride in the xbase area theming would be perfect for it. Also mentioned before a feris wheel would be great. Any type of extreme flats are desperately needed at the park.
  24. They are talking about RMC T-Rex model that can go as high as you want in theory. as far as sending something to the media. A telescope or a spaceship would be cool depending on which way they go with the name.
  25. They say it is possible. It would definitely be freaky and a crazy experience that you will have to go to Cedar Point becuase I don’t see Kings Island ever getting something like that.
