  1. I thought about going there 2 summers ago, but I decided agaist it and went to ride the go carts instead. Guess I made the right choice.
  2. It's not even marked as closed when you go to the line. All their was when I went was a chain link fence across the entrance. I saw at least 5-10 groups of people trying to find the entrance to the line while walking to FD, there isnt a sign that says "Sorry Son of Beast is closed".
  3. I will only post the 3 defunct flat rides that I have ridden that I liked. 1: Phantom Theater 2: Antique Cars 3: Flying Eagles
  4. Lets not also forget that TR:TR and SOB was the first of their kind, and look how that turned out. A new concept can go either way, we will just have to wait till next season to find out.
  5. Think about it, it will be the thrill and view of Drop Tower without the hesitation and waiting for the drop.
  6. -Excited, its not the best ride, but easily the best thing I could hope for 2011. -Not going Opening Day, so I cant ride it. -No, screamin swings are nice, but I think this adds a nice new type of thrill to KI.
  7. Im pretty excited, not only did we get this, but Knotts, CW, and CP. And all of them are the same height same ride. CF giving the equal rides out instead of just maxing one at CP shows they are not that bad of a company.
  8. Now that CW has announced their WindSeeker, I would guess we are getting an identical one, probably in X-base is my guess.
  9. Wow was that announced early? I would expect them to announce it at the same time as CP and KI (assuming they are getting them too) And I now am guessing this is going to be identical to KI's, and CP's will be bigger.
  10. I really like that entrance to the parking lot by going under the wooden coaster with the large sign, really reminds me of Voyage at Holiday World.
  11. This just made my Monday, to think we never really even talked about Ki with all the hype around CW, Knotts, and Cp.
  12. Didn't they say it would minorly change the skyline? A 300-500 foot tower with a swing at the top doesn't seem minor.
  13. Thanks terp, and I saw the plans and I don't like them, that area is a really nice area with long trails, places to eat, and lots of lifts that take you to almost any point in the mountain. For some reason putting an alpine coaster in the middle of all this just doesn't sound good. I may love rollercoasters, but they don't belong at a ski resort.
  14. Well I go to Breck every year to ski, and somehow I can't figure out the point of an alpine coaster there. and it must have been a typo, im guessing it meant 250 feet.
  15. I see my duck! Now Coach Lewis needs to pick it.
  16. 150,000 dollars raised, 5 dollars a duck...(Of course there are some 20 for five, but probably not many) This goes to a total of... about 30,000 ducks. Good luck everyone!
  17. I see a small wind seeker at CW, a record breaking one at CP, and no clue what will happen at Knotts.
  18. No link either. This is the first one to intrigue me... Maybe the ride will be really scary...
  19. Thats lots of money if she wins, which she probably will, heck, sign me up for a broken shoulder and a shoulder surgery for that kind of money...
  20. When you click on the picture of the windmill, it directs you to a teaching website. I thought it was interesting that the first procedure was this: Full Link: http://www.uen.org/Lessonplan/preview.cgi?LPid=2181 DBfan, once again thinking way to far. And I like how below the hints they have 2 links leading to buy tickets and sign up for the newsletter.
  21. Perhaps they are both getting star flyers? If they do, I bet I know which one will be taller
  22. The basketball trick shots has been a very heavy trend in youtube ever since Dude Perfect became an internet sensation. Thousands of videos like this are made every month. These guys got famous from that far shot that was featured on ESPN, and they wanted to try something else, Im fine with it. I bet the park had it well supervised, nobody was near the basket they were shooting at. Im pretty sure nobody is dumb enough to try this, and even if they were, ride ops would not let them. Its a form of entertainment, and if they called, asked permission, and the park agreed, I see no problem with this.
  23. But it would be odd to ride rotate an indoor coaster like FOF, im no expert, but it would take lots of effort to build that up and build the coaster inside with all that theme and then take it down years later for another park.
  24. Everything except for The Beast in some parts, becuase I hit the person sitting next to me, and Drop Tower.
