  1. I think the best part of this post is that I would be 100% okay with a parking lot renovation for next season. To help the traffic, after the fireworksWere you stuck in that last night too? I didn't get home till 11:40 and I live 6 minutes from the park. Lol We watched the fireworks by The Vortex and made it home in Northwest Columbus at 12:01.
  2. I go alone more than I go with somebody. I got tired of everybody being all up to go only to come up with some lame excuse at the last minute years ago.
  3. It looks like the squeaky wheel got some oil. Diamondback's crew was busting their humps like they used to. Trains were leaving the station when the previous train was crossing the mcbr last night.
  4. I grew up with Larosas when I lived in Cincinnati and while I agree it is better outside the park it's better than no Larosas, rumor has it one is coming to Columbus.
  5. If it was coming from I70 it would more than likely taken 2701 around the southeast of Columbus.
  6. It also meets with I64 and goes to St Louis and beyond.
  7. Mine was at Cedar Point also, I was on MF and one of the two girls in front of me asked if it was a bad ride and I told her no there was nothing to worry about only to have her tell her friend this old dude says it's okay.
  8. Not sure what us worse than gambling, but that is your call. The 1919 Chicago Black Sox paved the way for gambling to be treated as the # 1 unforgivable sin in sports. Pete's only saving grace was that he didn't bet against his team. If he would have just came clean, there is no doubt he would not only be in the HoF, but he would have been managing again. Domestic violence, drug abuse, steroid usage and i think at least that has beaten a fan.
  9. Pete has his issues, but as far as I'm concerned there is a lot worse in the HOF already.
  10. We were at KI in the late nineties after a storm had gone through over night causing delays opening several rides. When we left that night the park was handing out free tickets to everyone.
  11. I'm glad someone appreciates that. Mrs. Diamondbill and I were in the Diamondback station and they were playing KI trivia for stuffed animals. It must of been newb day because we were answering all the questions and had the ride operators give the prizes to kids in the parent swap area. We gave 5 or 6 away with not one thank you. By the way that wasn't me at the 3 point challenge.
  12. If I'm by myself you'll find me wearing out Diamondback during ERT then The Beast and Racer. If Mrs Diamondbill is with me we would be on The Beast, Racer Dodgems the Train and Logflume with a few Diamondback rides mixed in and catching a few shows.
  13. If you're sitting in the front seats you can see the bogeys on the car ahead of you shuffle side to side on that section of track, kind of like the track gauge is a little narrow from wear allowing some extra clearance with the side friction wheels. Midway through the '09 season I would feel a rough wheel bearing on the left under row 4 every few weeks that I haven't felt since.
  14. That would be Darlene or Karen, they are both very funny to get to know.
  15. All the photos you guys post sure help. I have never been much of a photographer so I really appreciate your work.
  16. I get to go through 4 different withdrawals. No roller coasters or drag racing and after having my left knee scoped in 2010 I was informed that skiing and bowling are a no no if I want to try to make it 10 years without a joint replacement. So that leaves me with updating the dragster and posting dumb stuff here and on my racing forums that seem clever and witty at the time I hit post.
  17. Is that an African swallow or European swallow?
  18. I had a weekday off work in August '06 so I ran down to KI assuming it was open daily through Labor Day, I was wrong and the moose didn't tell me.
  19. You have a point, so act mature and leave the basket of cobras at home.
  20. The key is how you carry yourself. I went to Twinsburg for company training when I was 17 and checked in a hotel room with no problem and was not asked my age or for ID just my car's tag number. This was an L&K not a hourly place by the way. If you are giggling and acting immature you will probably asked for proof of age.
  21. I have never been asked my age when checking in or making reservations.
