The Interpreter Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Lance Hart over at Screamscape now has this 'scoop,' and cites this here place along with the park's Facebook antics: http://www.screamscape.com/html/kings_island.htm
rotag Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 an extension & make-over on trail of terror??? New haunted trail for Halloweekends perhaps? Or maybe a nature trail "New for 2012, Deerseeker! The worlds first inverted, LIM launched walking path!" It's definitely a quarter after 2 in the morning. as long as they dont call it deleverance, ill be fine. but one of my co-workers from years past did say i reminded him of ned batey.
Oldschool75 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Squeal boy Squeal!! okay maybe that was uncalled for. lol ***edit*** Has anyone checked to see if building permits or information is available from the city of Mason? I have no idea where to find such info.
Thrill_Biscuit Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 I'm thinking outside the box here: What if it's a lake? (going off of ds440's idea of placement)
IndyGuy4KI Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 I'm thinking outside the box here: What if it's a lake? (going off of ds440's idea of placement) I thought of a retention pond as well, but what would be the purpose? Do you think WS construction would require that if there is no other construction taking place in that area?
trint2004 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 hmm, what ever they are doing? I will be pretty cool to watch them work on it while riding WS!
TTD-120-420 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Whatever it is I wish they would build it like they did Beast, and save trees.

It is not making any sense to me.
Creed Bratton Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 Anyone else see a Squirrel standing on its back feet with a really long tail?
Coaster Kid Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 It could be a new area but who even knows is could also be a new trail. X base is set to paranormal goverment based themeing. Who knows we could have a new alien contamination theme trail. Only time can tell what will happen. I do expect the park to do something big for there 40th anniversery though.
FOFreak Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 I've been looking at the diagram and while a new area seems like a great and very logical idea for the park, the shape does not look like an area. If so it looks extremely bottle-necked and unorganized. So this, in my opinion. doesn't look like a new area. Although I've been wrong before.
Monroe Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Anyone else see a Squirrel standing on its back feet with a really long tail? The bottle says ONE a day, not ONE an hour!!
The Interpreter Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 My bottle says 10 2 4..... Terp, of a certain age....
Monroe Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Isn't that a song? oh wait, thats 25 or 6 to 4. At any rate, I get the point to the right near the cove, that will make a great place for a cabin.
rotag Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 My bottle says 10 2 4..... Terp, of a certain age.... wouldnt you like to be a pepper too? rotag, while not of a certain age but has seen much of things that predates his birth thanks to technology & his elders.
Beast1979 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Isn't that a song? oh wait, thats 25 or 6 to 4. Aha! A part of a post by Monroe that I actually get! That's a great song! Jackson, who has never been to Chicago, but feels proud of himself for recognizing that tune, and now finds it in his head....
Cory Butcher Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Building on Monroe's last post, that cove will make a great place for the return of the trailer tower!
Monroe Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 O no no.......I'll have it zoned against that, besides that's my cove I called it first, find your own cove!
The Interpreter Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Perhaps you can dew it in the Action Zone...
Monroe Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Mello out your making a Mountain out of a mole hill.
Pillsberry123 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 I certainly hope you aren't talking about California's Great America for a coaster install. As evidenced in the earnings release last week, they consider Cedar Point, Knott's Nerry Farm, Canada's Wonderland and Kings Island as their four biggest parks. It's a little late to reply but I was referring to Knott's Berry Farm.
flightoffear1996 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 I would love to see the park become like a resort type place like Cedar Point. I know it would be hard though since there isn't a lake.
HTCO Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 I would love to see the park become like a resort type place like Cedar Point. I know it would be hard though since there isn't a lake. One could argue it to be a resort. Ex: Great Wolf Lodge, and Kings Island Conference Center. Even though these are not on KI property nor owned by KI. They are considered Kings Island "Lodging".
The Interpreter Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 I would love to see the park become like a resort type place like Cedar Point. I know it would be hard though since there isn't a lake. That would be quite erie, especially during autumn.
Monroe Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 At first I did not know what you were saying, but I canal see your point (Man I'm on a roll)
The Interpreter Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Terp's a good speller...he can even spell blueprint, but let's not spill the plot...or was it plat? I forget....
CoastersRZ Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Now I can get in on the action. Blueprints are old school. Anything drawn now is a plot. In fact, I worked late today plotting drawings. Plats are an entirely different thing and not to be confused with metes and bounds!
The Interpreter Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Terp is so old he remembers linens...but then, sometimes he talks too much. This will not be one of those times. (and if you think this is off topic, it is not....now where did I put that 0.3mm pencil with the Ain?)
