If the rumors are true about the G trains going on Racer, and no more Backwards Racer, I will be one P*ssed puppy. Don't kill something as enjoyable as the Backwards Racer.

The last time I rode the backwards Racer it was rough, painful, and quite unenjoyable to tell the truth...

I think the Nick Parade is coming back to the park for 2008. (All summer)

Awesome, I loved the Nick Parade so when I was a kid, I always watched it after I rode The Beastie. Memories.....

Don't forget new TR theming and no more Backwards Racer.

WHAT!!! how do you know about the backward racer is not going to be backwards no more?

Because of the possible "new" trains right?

I would Guess so. You have to do SOMETHING with the GL Trains!

But, If they Put G-Trains on The Racer, and Villain on The Beast, I will be P*SSD, God I love the PTC ones.

I thought the rumor about the trains being used on either Beast or Racers had already been shot down? I thought I read somewhere that they are simply being stored at KI and not going to be used on any coaster at KI.

Besides that, I would think if Interpreter says it ain't happening, then it ain't crappenin'.

Personally, I wouldn't mind if The Racer went back to all-forward operation. About the park having one-sided operation on slower days... hell, it's not like The Racer staff raced the trains most of the time anyway! Even in '07, it looked like the old Paramount people were running the place... and not just because they kept wearing the Paramount Parks blue shirts.

There is a point there.

I think that it's very cool if they do race the coasters.

But it seems over the last few years that no one has really carred about that.

Maybe they forget that the name is Racer.

Its proably not a worker issue its probaly a mangment issue. Getting both the trains to dispatch at the same time is going to require waiting for one side or the other which would cut down on capcity. And how many people crew The Racer 3 on each side if I am correct so that means the park is probaly only shelling out an extra $240 dollars to a day at $8 an hour for 3 people for 10 hours a day. Of course you would have less maintance cost but I mean how much can that really save.

And to think that the park felt it was valuable to do it for decades. <G>

Keep in mind that an hourly wage is only a portion of what's spent on actual labor. There's cost of uniforms, benefits, etc, some companies the wage paid to the employee is half of what the company actually spends on the employee.
