  1. I saw the new WindSeeker sign last night for the first time and it looks really cool! Although it is a bummer that they aren't running it.

  2. Last night when entering the line for Hotel St Michelle: "Huh? Where's Timberwolf? It's supposed to be here. Interesting. I guess we'll do this one first." I swear Kings Island needs to take down that Timberwolf sign because I'm tired of hearing guests think that TImberwolf is a ride! Maybe if they replaced that sign with "Buy your passes today!" they would see many more passes bought!

  3. I have now 28 recorded rides on each side of Stardust Racers, it still slaps. Rode front row green as usual and it was still a religious experience.

  5. Foreword: this is basically spoiler-free, so don't worry about me spilling the beans Also, this is coming from a guy who doesn't like to be scared, and has only ever done Killmart and Hotel St Michelle before this trip. Went to the Haunt last night and bought the Haunted Attractions Pass online. When we entered the park at around 6:45, we scanned the QR code given to us and received our wristbands. It was a super easy process, and only took a few seconds. NOTE: You do not have to redeem your online order at the main Fast Lane location, you can do it anywhere that sells Fast Lane. So don't wait in those really long lines when you can go to the height measurement kiosks and have no wait. After that I had dinner at Chicken Shack for the first time and thought it was ok for KI food. Then we did Order of the Dragon first and I liked it. The theming and the whole house was definitely done better than the other ones. I think we took a wrong turn and cut some of the maze off, but I can't be sure. We hardly waited for this one, and moved on to Cornered. Cornered was fine, but definitely one of the weaker mazes. For those who have done it in years past, is the theming a little different? I thought Cornered last year was a hay-maze type thing instead of the greenhouse-type theming this year's Cornered seemed to have. Anyway, we didn't wait much for that one either. Next we did Alien Abyss, which I had mixed feelings about. We basically didn't wait for this one. I really liked the story of the whole thing, especially the pre-show type room before you enter the house. But it was just way too dark for me to enjoy it, because I was constantly lost and trying to continue walking though. The scare actors had to keep telling people where to go. But it was a good maze idea in my opinion. KillMart was the same as always, with a few animatronics. Waited roughly 5-10 minutes. Not much needs to be said, it was the same old KillMart We did Hotel St Michelle next which we ended up waiting roughly 30 minutes for because they were using both lines, but there was no one evenly splitting the lines, so our line took way longer. Good maze overall, probably one of my faves. But basically the same as previous years. The last house was Slaughterhouse. Not necessarily scary, just gory. I also felt like there weren't very many scare actors in this one like maybe 5-7. There were definitely some parts that could have more scare actors in them. Probably my least favorite maze overall, but that's just my opinion. We did Racer (10 minutes) and Diamondback (15 minutes) for rides. And watched the show (twice)! The show was really good and I really wished they advertised it. Overall, very fun night at KI Haunt!

  6. Glad this Coney classic still has life in it! Only ride at the park I’ve never been on. I’m not crazy on spinning, but wanna take my kid on it when’s she’s tall enough. Might’ve been easier to just ditch this one given the state of the chain currently. We’re lucky. Brand new revival of a classic dark ride next year and continued dedication to keeping things running. Can’t complain when other parks are experiencing some intense merger growing pains.

  8. I was also there last night! I think it might be safe to say that Thursday nights will be THEE go to nights for an actual good Haunt experience. The low crowds made for a much better experience. The vibes were absolutely vibin'. Lines were essentially non-existent for the rides unless of course you wanted to wait for a specific seat. Even then, seriously wouldn't even count that as hardly anything. Staff seemed in good spirits. I will say my only negative interaction last night was upon entering the park. I had an older lady at the scan in who did not seem to understand two very simple things. One-I still have and use my old Platinum pass card because the QR code is valid due to me renewing my pass each year and their system just recycling that same code for current day. She very rudely told me that they "no longer used those" and I had to explain to her that what the actual pass card said didn't matter, it was the QR code that was still valid and renewed for 2026. She was so rude and simultaneously confused about it I had to take my cell phone out and open the app to show her that I indeed DID have a 2026 gold pass and that it did not matter which QR code I used from whichever source since they were both the same thing. She kept asking me if I "upgraded" to a gold pass from prestige? Common lady... This all became an issue because I wanted to use my free BAF ticket (which is the second and primary reason for this snafu to begin with...) that was invisible to me but supposedly visible to them as I had my partner with me and she has not yet gotten her pass for next season. I explained to her that I bought my 2026 pass during the initial sale for next year's passes and it was to include a BAF ticket that wasn't visible to me, but should be on their side. The lady had to call over a supervisor and thankfully he was really nice about it and didn't make a stink over it and let us proceed. I wish I had gotten both of their names because the woman scanning tickets/passes clearly needs more education on her job as well as a massive attitude adjustment ( rudest person I have dealt with at KI to date honestly...everyone else has always been helpful or at the very least not rude while trying to understand something ) and the supervisor's name for not making the process any more challenging than it needed to be and letting us in to enjoy our night. We caught the pre-closing fountain show too and that really was such a fun and enjoyable display! I see what you all meant now about the use of the pyrotechnics being excellent and the overall use of the fountains and lights themselves was very well done. I look forward to catching at least one or two more Haunts on a Thursday night. It's worth going to bed a little later for the low crowds, low stress and all fun kind of night. Not to mention the weather was absolutely perfect.
