  1. No sure if this has been mentioned, but it appears they have primed the entire facade of the former castle entrance.

  2. DOUBLE POST: It looks like the cap of the left (PS side) tower has been removed, so we may see some structural/shaping changes to go with the new paint.

  3. ^ I’m pretty sure the suit would apply to the entire chain (legal issues typically got rolled up to the corporate level), although there’s probably park-specific violations of the IP licensing they’re citing. That’s a sad situation—United/SEA/BEC has a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Sesame Workshop. IMHO this is just one more example of the negative aspects of how the current PE control of them has damaged the brand. When I was at SEA, the agreements with Sesame Workshop were taken *very* seriously—even to the point of staffing character interactions (i.e., if Elmo and Abby Cadabby appeared together it was specified that Elmo had to be taller than Abby)

  6. I think you could do quite a bite with the existing facade to make it work. The castle dental molding should go, as well as the turret style features (which they seem to be addressing now). A lot of the existing colors in the art design (from what we’ve seen) could be incorporated into what’s there. Mocked up this concept over the last few days to try and visualize what it could be. Not sure how it would work, but I’d really love to see some kind of marquee added to the front inspired by the original: Excited to see what they do.

  7. This thread is being closed. There is no need to go back and fourth with definitions that servers no real purpose on the forums.

  8. I think it was funny how they mentioned Boo Blasters in the que! My prediction is somehow Boocifer is the villain in the ride! 🤣

  9. Another update which I think was mentioned already, but the ride will officially be open for opening day and for passholder previews. I’m not expecting a charity thing at this point, but who knows. Tomorrow is Friday the 13th so maybe they’ll launch something?? I was nervous hearing about this event today, but I do appreciate their respect for keeping most of the surprises until opening day (because even without seeking them out I definitely would’ve gotten spoiled if they showed everything off by now) and this was a fun (hopefully close to final) update to tide us over until opening day.

  10. I had been trying to avoid spoilers but I couldnt help myself seeing the pictures today! I absolutely love the theming and it seems like they are putting a lot of effort into this, even more so than when it was Scooby-Doo and even the original PT. Also the animatronics look amazing! I'm glad that Maestro is back in his booth, the only thing I'm hoping for now is that the new ride will be as dark as the original. I love when dark rides are well basically dark, fingers crossed they brought that element back. Nonetheless I am still excited! 😊

  11. That's a bold strategy of building support and demand for future stories by condescendingly misusing the language of mental healthcare and calling us geeks and virgins, Cotton. Let's see how this one plays out. Quick detail for the room: Raise your hand if you've ever been told, unsolicited, by KI's security team that you would "end up in some sort of trouble" by the end of your visit when you otherwise weren't being disruptive. Surely with the number of people here and the high frequency with which we triggered geeks and virgins visit the park, it would've happened to someone else here...?
