1. I know one thing removed for 2020. Wish one more got removed so as to keep everything equal and balanced though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
2. I’m not trying to be rude, but I feel like you’ve posted this video 4 different times now. I think most people that want to see it in this thread have seen it already. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
3. harmony29 YOU may be happy, but there are a lot of pessimists. Prior to leaked blueprints, many people assumed it would be bigger and longer than Fury. Then the blueprints were leaked (whether real and complete or not) and pretty much all hell broke loose on here. I understand the “we’re still getting a coaster” argument as I’m part of that train, but the reactions months ago shows that if people start to believe that the coaster will be bigger and faster and it happens not to be, a TON of people will be disappointed and fell like KI/CF went the cheap route and that CF doesn’t actually care about KI. Get your hopes up for a bigger coaster than is shown on the blueprints, I honestly don’t care how you think. I’d rather assume the blueprints are right and, if not, be happily surprised if the coaster is bigger than we thought. The alternative is either assume it’s bigger than what the blueprints show, and either be happy if it is, or disappointed if it isn’t. Believe whatever you believe. I can’t and won’t try to stop you. Hopefully Thursday is very fun and exciting for everyone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
4. Wow this whole conversation makes me want to bash my head into a wall. Think it may be time to get of KICentral until the announcement lmao Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
5. I know it’s been talked about before, but do you think KI will reveal something that sets this giga apart from every other one? I just keep having this gut feeling that what we see isn’t all that’s there, but I’m not sure what it is. I don’t think it’ll be, say, a 135 degree bank that they define as an inversion, but I do think it’ll be something. Maybe it’ll just the shed 2.0 (which I’d be perfectly happy with), or maybe the trains will have a gimmick to them (such as DC Rivals last car being backwards). I just want to know if other people think there will be some sort of gimmick, and if so, what it’d be. Also, in regards to the trains shown on the blueprints, is there any reason these would have to be accurate? I mean they themselves are not part of the area of work, and as long as the clearance envelope around them is the same, I feel like they could just throw in generic trains as placeholders so as to not reveal the gimmick with the trains (if there is one), such as a backwards last car. 6. So KIs having a major announcement on Thursday. That’s a thing that’s happening... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
7. I’d honestly prefer just Nova. Seems like that rolls off the tongue and sticks with the theme. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
8. Idk why but this made me realize how great of a name “Shooting Star” would be for a FoF retheme. I’m not saying I think they will retheme FoF, I’m just saying it would fit really well if they wanted to, and it would pay homage to the coaster they say “started it all.” While I don’t think they will change it, it’s definitely a possibility (See Flight Deck to Bat when Banshee was built) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
9. Sounds more of a flat ride name than a major coaster. Idk why but it sounds like a very clunky name, tho nothing can be counted out. See Steel Vengeance, Millennium Force, Copperhead Strike... you get the point. Just something about the name doesn’t sound... roller coastery enough. (Coastery is a word to me [emoji36]) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
10. ^I was thinking this as well. Probably Zephyr, Scrambler, and Dodgems too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
11. ^Whoever gets that box loses their dibs on the poster boards... Good thing I don’t have a Twitter to get that box and lose my dibs... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
12. ^Thats honestly the best thing I’ve seen in a LONG time lmao. Thank you for your gift to all of us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
13. ^I get what you’re saying, but consider a few things: Crypt was, as previously stated, a massive prototype that was ripping itself apart. Not only that but it was themed completely around Tomb Raider. As stated before, the ride lost almost all charm and the theming lost all meaning once that theme was gone. They still kept a good amount of theming in there and did convert some of it, but if they were to pour even more money into it, while it was doomed to have a short lifespan, it wouldn’t have made sense. With Top Gun/Flight Deck, I agree it would’ve been nice to keep the airplane theme, but now it’s been renamed and repainted to The Bat. All the airplane theming would be obsolete at this point. Could they have maybe moved it to FoF or the new giga? Sure, but whats the point when FoF is already well themed and the giga will probably have brand new theming. 90s theming on a brand new 2020 coaster would look pretty bad imo. With BLSC, my only though about why the cars are just shells now is CF was worried about Mini filing a lawsuit due to similarities between the coaster cars and theirs. Keeping them plain colors gives CF a much better leg to stand on. As for fog/effects/etc. so far on Banshee and MT, they are still up keeping all the effects. I’m surprised Banshees fog/mist effect still works. Maybe CF is starting to put a focus on their themed coasters as they know they’ll last much longer (for the most part) than any current ride. 14. From what it’s marked, no. Also, this wouldn’t be a good idea considering it would make Banshee, the current most expensive coaster in park history, pretty much obsolete. Why build a very big and expensive coaster, only to one up it with a bigger and more expensive coaster of the same type? Yes I know instances of this make sense, particularly with woodies. However, inverts are such a niche type that it wouldn’t make sense in this case. Also, before people say “this giga is just a bigger Diamondback,” no, it isn’t. If you don’t believe me, ride Fury and I232 or Levi and Behemoth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
15. ^^Designed well is a bit of an exaggeration. Intamin has way too many problems with restraints breaking considering the the biggest safety feature for most people. Safety should take a much higher precedence than comfort. I personally love best restraints, but I completely understand why people hate them. I also like intamin blitz restraints. I’m just saying, if I rode a coaster 20 times a day every day, I’d prefer the safer option to the more comfortable option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
