  1. It has been 10 for the upgrade so far this year (30 without a pass). But as DubVLegend said that could start to decline throughout the year
  2. King Ding Dong is correct. You can upgrade on a day to day basis, but there is not season long upgrade. I imagine it would be too difficult to reserve spaces for everyone who upgraded, because the park can't anticipate how many open spaces need to be saved for people who could potentially show up if they had a season long preferred parking pass. That's a recipe for upset guests if people show up and they've paid for a preferred spot, but they are all taken up.
  3. I agree. I do think too many people skip the step of supervisor in this process though. I've heard many people say they go straight to Guest Services and complain, but I'm not sure how effective that is. I'm sure the message is past on, but the supervisor isn't directly dealing with upset guests. If its the supervisor who is constantly having to deal with complaints and angry people, thats when things really get done.
  4. If you are in line, you will ride. I've always heard the rule is if you are in line, you will get to ride. Just might be a late night for you!
  5. Generally the rule is that anyone in line when the park closes gets to ride. But the park closed at 10, and if its a minimum 4 hour wait, that's at least 2:00 before everyone is through the line. Ride ops and other employees (mainly guest services and first aid come to mind) are there until everyone is out of the park and then some. Thinking it might be a 3-4 am night for some guests and employees.
  6. That's really encouraging to hear! I know we've talked on previous threads about us both trying to lose weight and be able to get on all the rides this season! Congrats on Drop Tower (first time riding?), and hopefully other rides were successful for you as well! I'm down 26.4 pounds as of this morning. I still have a little ways to go, but I won't be visiting the park for another month sadly, but that does give me more time to lose more
  7. Check in with guest services when you go to the park and they may be able to assist you more
  8. I was told reds will not be a full service place anymore
  9. It's new for the cardboard cups. The souvenir bottles won't have the 15 minute wait time. I stand corrected by the post following this.

  11. Want disney? Go to disney. Nobody said that everybody has to fall to any denominator. Its also a pretty odd mindset to think we all have to rise to the highest common denominator to enjoy a day at the park. I think part of professionalism can be humor and making people laugh. While I found that particular joke cheesy, I don't see the need to be offended or mad about it. Also, not sure what a ride op on the train has to do with food service..
  12. For pete sake. No fun allowed at the park. Only professionalism.
  13. I think the lift audio is warning that video and phone use is prohibited, but they are doing so in a way that is consistent with the themeing, which is incredible!
  14. What about EXtreme Skyflyer? I have been very close to pulling the trigger a couple times, but that is the only attraction at any park that I have honestly been afraid to ride. Whats everybody's thoughts on it?
  15. Two people are indeed required to ride, but if you can't convince somebody to ride with you, an associate from the ride will typically ride with you if ask them to!
  16. The Beast is on there now (Under the T's, not the B's). Woodstock Express and Flying Ace have typically not been listed on the coaster section, and as far as I know have always been in the family/kids section
  17. Yeah WWC doesn't open until after memorial day sadly.
  18. Anywhere that has an onride photo has strobe lighting
  19. They're really pushing the "no pictures or videos" for mystic timbers, especially considering that MT interacts with the two other rides, it could be dangerous to drop things on other riders of the other rides.
  20. There sadly is not a "one size fits all" answer to this question. It really all depends on where weight is held and body shape and such. Things like Viking Fury, Scrambler, Monster, etc should all be fine. They aren't super restrictive, but obviously I can't guarantee anything. Last season I was 6"1, around 320 pounds. I was able to ride pretty much everything but Diamondback, Flight of Fear, and Drop Tower. However, my weight is spread pretty evenly on a large frame, not all kept in one spot. Here's my advice. Try things out. If you get brave enough to try a coaster, try one of the test seats. My guess is that most coasters will be a no go, except for The Bat. Also remember that KI has shows, live entertainment, music, etc. Not just rides. I think you should go, and even if rides can't happen, I bet you'll enjoy it.
  21. Here is a picture of Invadr that is made by the same company. I tried to contact the park on twitter to see if there would be a test seat available at any point, but haven't heard back. From what I've read online, GCI restraints are pretty forgiving. With Cedar Fair's priority on safety, I'm sure there will be a seat belt, but I have read that the belts aren't too terribly restricting. If you can ride things like The Beast/Racer, I think you should be more than OK on MT
  22. As long as the picture looks like you and isn't a picture of you as a preteen or anything like that you will be okay. You can call the guest services line before you come and ask if your pass if good to go, and they will be able to look it up for you! The Guest Service people are good about that anytime I've corresponded with them.
  23. Not to mention Racer in the airtime debate. I'm not sure if their is an empirical way to look up the airtime stat, but KI has to be right near the top of the list!
  24. If this is a joke, I hope I don't come across as tone deaf, but if it is a serious question, in all likelihood no. Fireworks are launched off to the north side of The Beast, and Beast goes pretty close to that spot during the show. MT won't go anywhere near that spot. Racer is probably closer to that location than MT will be.
