Great find!!! Lots of good information. It will be interesting to see what color potentially “our” track gets painted.

I don’t think so. I googled all the hypers for China listed on Wikipedia and they have already been installed.
-
Searching Wikipedia it looks like 3 hypers have been built since Fury 325. So O, P, Q were already taken. This seems like the lettering theory would be correct.
-
That’s my understanding as well in regards to CP and CW dives. Here is a picture of Fury 325 detailed track label.

My understanding is dive coasters are labeled DM and alphabetical number. Valraven was DMH and Yukon Striker is DMG. DM meaning dive machine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I found this photo on Reddit. The theory goes that MC stand for megacoaster and the last letter is the numerical sequence of projects. So MCR would be one coaster and MCT would be a separate. MCR is likely Hershey’s rumored hyper. Since we don’t see a MCS they either skipped over it or it is sitting somewhere on the property. So there could possibly be 3 hypers/gigas currently in production. Thoughts?

With all the concrete trucks we’ve seen today I think they may be building an additional pole barn next to the one we can see. In the various photos and videos it looks like the foundation was already poured for the pole barn. I also noticed something to the right of that building as you can see in this screen shot. It is white and extends pretty far to the right. If this is the case I think this would be the replacement area for the current buildings by X base.

I would also think they would want to complete all the grading and earth work before moving any electrical. They’ve only been at this a month and it’s likely they’re not done.

It’s hard to tell if that is new clearing or just stands out because of the contrast between Fall and Summer foliage. If you zoom in on the Winter picture it already may have been cleared.
-
That’s my thought to. I see it dropping down to the other side of FoF and using all the cleared land behind Banshee where SoB double helix was. Plenty of room to make that layout a Giga. It would catch some good speed dropping into that ravine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In regards to the pedestals... I think they could make really neat planters if they are cut down in size a bit. They could be the center part of a path or something if they make a new ride plaza. Just a thought.
-
That’s my thinking as well. They are going to have two entry points to the area. I could see the Giga going over into the old SOB site. If this is the case, they already have most of the land cleared they would need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Great video and description about what’s going on. They have a really good zoom video camera.

I wonder if they are going to open up a new Midway where Days of Thunder building is and connect it to Xbase. I think it would help drive traffic to the North end of the park with the addition of whatever is coming in 2020.

Looking back at Fury 325 construction on Carowinds Connection I have determined the following. 1. The first teasers didn’t show up until July 7th with a large banner hanging on the fence. It was a false teaser hinting at a Roman theme and people speculated “Centurion” as the name. 2. First footer poured was on July 18th. 3. Teal Track started appearing at CSF around late June. It was originally speculated this was invert track and was written off. It wasn’t confirmed as Fury’s until August 5th when the track was loaded onto flatbeds. With all the land clearing that has been done we are on track for a big summer!

I’m hoping somebody can get a better picture today of behind Racers turnaround. I’ll be there next weekend to do my own sleuthing.

I don’t see how you could say this. With all of the clearing there is a coaster coming next year and it’s being constructed by B&M. Obviously this area will be seeing a lot of attention in the next few months. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The size of this thing is huge! The earlier clearing photos along with sixohdieselrage’s photos show a huge additionally cleared section. I put together both images. This is BIG! Today’s image with clearing all the way to the end of Racer along with the contrast of aerials from a month ago by Sixohdieselrage Image from Sixohdieselrage showing major clearing back behind Firehawk compared with a stock google image photo. The current photos don’t show this area but it appears to be big.

I hear that’s where they are keeping the 2020 Giga plans at. /s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just don’t see them putting a Dive back there. I see a Dive eventually going into Vortex or Invertigo/Congo Falls. If they were going to ever build a Giga, this is the plot of land they would use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Here is a side by side from one month ago and now. I don’t think they are finished... Credit sixohdieselrage for the aerial photo a month ago

It was from a comment on their page tonight with their Eiffel Tower picture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is apparently from a month ago... (credit FYE Facebook post) so they have made a lot of progress since then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
