Couple of things... The “leaked” layout is puzzling because of how it was released and the timing. I still have suspicions this was leaked by the park as a distraction. It came from a CAD drawing which makes it seem legit. No park has ever received a leaked CAD layout prior to a new ride. Could this be from a layout that wasn’t approved? How hard would it be to create a fake layout if you had these CAD drawings to use. I’m guessing not more than a few hours to draw a coaster. Additionally, the true North point on the blueprint does not line up with the “layout”. Some people have commented that Mystic Timbers didn’t either. However, we never had footer blueprints from MT. My assumption is that detailed footer blueprints with exact dimensions and drawings would be accurate where they put true North. “If” the leaked layout is correct, I expect them to make huge elements out of the turn around and helix. In my opinion the drop will be a record breaker above 320 feet. The first hill will be a lateral airtime hill and go into the turnaround. The turnaround HAS to be massive with the amount of speed coming into that element. After that we have some more banked turns and airtime hills before what I hope is a HUGE Shambala like element. People seem to be upset about the length of this leaked layout. I was at first as well. But if you’ve been on Fury, it seems like a lot of the end is just a filler to get length. The helix and hill don’t really add much. If this layout is true, this thing will be rocking throughout the entire layout and could be the perfected B&M model we have hoped for. Worlds first enclosed Giga. Just one long tunnel with LED stars.

If you look at the leaked layout you can tell where all the turns are already. The two big things on this are going to be the treble clef turn around and the possible shambalaturn at the end. Those items will make or break the enjoyment of this coaster. I have a feeling they will be done just right.

Another thing that hasn’t been mentioned is the price of steel. In 2018 due to various factors (including tariffs) steel reached a record high point. The prices have since come back down. When planning the construction I would think this would have definitely factored into the length they were looking to go.
-
I think the SOB area will be used for a ground up RMC in the future. Possibly replacing The Bat when it gets removed.
-
I think that treble clef turn around is going to be massive like 200 feet massive. There’s only one hill and it’s a banked hill before it goes into that element. Should be fun!

I beg to differ

I believe that it is going to drop into the ravine that’s cleared in Dino’s alive. There is a 30-50 drop in elevation according to the site plan gradient lines. Each one represents 10 feet (the small ones you can barely see are 2 feet each). I’ve circled in Red the faint footers that you can see as it starts to climb back out.

BSBMX was explaining this yesterday. They are using the coordinates from the footer points in the blue print to come up with the length. The length is between 452-453 feet from the front backbone L2 to the drop backbone L16D. They are using a 40 degree lift height and 81 degree drop height. That’s how the calculation is getting to around 300. This is from BSBMX post around page 80: “Inputting the lift coordinates into Solidworks, and adjusting the two last support columns so they're overhead view matches the CAD drawing, this is what I'm getting. This is 40° lift, 81° drop, right at 300' tall. There's a distance of 452' between L2 and L16D, which I think we're considering is the main outer footers of the lift. “ I think the records on this thing are going to be drop and speed as I mentioned a few pages ago. Drop around 330 speed around 96. Both of those would be a record for a non launches steel coaster.
-
The two records I could see it getting would be longest drop and fastest steel non launched coaster. I think we’re going to see a drop of 325 or 330 into that ravine which could get us to 96 or 97 mph.

I agree with both of you. This will be our “flagship” coaster for the next 20 years. I to would have picked a Mack multi launch if I saw these two sitting on a shelf next to each other. Or I would have preferred if they wait a couple years and invest the proper amount of capital to take use of the land we have. I’m sure my mind will change but the talks of it barely if even getting to 300 is concerning.

Has anyone at the park been on Beast or WindSeeker yet? Can we confirm there is no additional clearing in the area by Beasts brake run that can’t be seen from Racer and ET?
-
Late night decoding sessions will put you right to sleep!
-
I think I’m starting to understand this a little better. I think FryOJ might be right that this is a vertical drop. That would get us to 300 and would be our marketing gimmick. I like it!
-
Why do you think the other backbone isn’t on the blueprint? Won’t we have to know it’s exact location and angle prior to determining the height?
-
What makes a Giga blueprint different than a Hyper? People that originally saw the blueprint immediately said it was a Giga both here and on social media sites.
-
Thank you! That makes so much more sense now. I was trying earlier to find a picture like that but couldn’t find one anywhere.
-
I know you guys tried to explain this earlier... it’s still confusing. I would think you would want all the weight and pressure pushing against that bolted side. It is labeled as a column is it not? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes you are correct. I remember reading through that whole thing and the big arguments that ensued.

I don’t mind the convo at all. I’ve just seen in many different threads that the slightest misstep gets you reprimanded. I just find it odd that this has been pretty much unmoderated. It’s one of the things that leads me to think these leaks are not real.
-
I do find it odd that the moderators have let this board turn into a complete sh*t show and haven’t been removing things out of respect for the park I.e@anonpirate is still active, these leaked images are all over the place...

We haven’t heard much from CodyFryGuy today either... [emoji848]
