  1. Has anyone been to Mason to see if we have the complete prints? I would like to see BSBMX interpretations once we can get them. Even though we know most things about this coaster I still have no clue about the theme. All we know is possibly Orion or Polaris. Will it tie into Xbase? Will it be alien themed or spaced themed or something else? What is in the Quonset hut? Teasers would help. If the announcement is to be on 8/14 I think we will still get teasing toward the theme soon. Plenty of time.
  2. Yeah once it gets political it kinda kills the conversation. We all have opinions and should respect each other’s as well. Good debate is what’s wrong with this country now as it doesn’t happen. Sorry for starting this thread.
  3. I know a lot of lawyers and have several in my family. They likely made a private demand against the company to start. The demand was probably 5 or 10 times more than they were willing to accept (that’s how they negotiate). KI probably balked at their demand or dragged their feet. Said lawyer then threatened to go public with the allegations which would in turn harm KI more. That’s where we are at now. It’s an attorney power move.
  4. I like this idea around Apollo 11. After all Ohio has a lot of space/flight history with Neil Armstrong, John Glenn, and Wright brothers. I hope it has some sort of space or flight connection tied to our local area.
  5. I said what I wanted to say about the arguments and then moved on to my point about teasers. Wasn’t trying to start a dust up.
  6. It’s trivial arguments that have been going on for probably over 100 pages. Quit whining about the rules. There are plenty of other internet sites and ways to search for things that aren’t posted here. My bad that I haven’t checked this for a couple days and now I’m “reigniting” something. Apparently you must be new to this site and not have seen how it used to be moderated. I’m shocked at many of the things I’ve seen posted here since this thread opened. It’s all over the place and nearly nothing at this point has to do with decoding. I was all for the original decoding and figuring out what this thing is but the last 100 pages have just been nonsense and it gets difficult to read. Hence why I’m hoping we get teasers or new blueprints soon so we can actually have something to talk about.
  7. I really hope we get some teasers soon or new footer blueprints to decode. This thread is getting unbearable with all the trivial arguments. Fly your drones all you want but this site has already made clear they can’t be posted here. There will be teasers. KI wouldn’t build their largest coaster ever and not tease it. That’s not how things work nowadays. There is an expectation of teasers with social media and they won’t fail us. It doesn’t matter who knows what, they will want to generate excitement for season pass sales next year. Fury 325 didn’t start teasing til July 7th. I know we’re all excited but give it time.
  8. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/crime/crime-and-courts/2019/07/11/kings-island-ohio-harassment-allegation/1672457001/ Sounds like a bad situation. It doesn’t say whether or not the wrongdoer is still employed.
  9. From what I have read they were removed in 2003. With all the KI nostalgia taking place, electric powered teams would be an awesome addition.
  10. Has anyone confirmed the blue track is MCT? I know there was a really blurry photo that kind of looked like MCT but nothing clearly showing it...
  11. Question. Why would Cedar Fair submit only the drop and station blueprints? I’m sure everything else would have already been completed as well at the same time.
  12. The past several pages have been a bit contentious with the decoding/not decoding conversation. Hang on folks, I have a feeling the next week or two are going to really get this thread back on track and moving along. Likely events: ~ Grand Carnivale ends next weekend. Will we see our first teasers next weekend or the week after? IIRC Fury 325 teasers showed up first on July 7th. That’s next weekend... ~ New Blueprints will likely be filed in the next week or two. Blueprints for the remainder of the ride (everything outside of the drop/station area) have yet to be filed. The drop/station area has been completely drilled and piers poured. There is no additional drilling to be done on the current prints available at Mason. It would be great if someone that lives close can get there soon to check. ~Hershey track has been spotted in PA which is going to clear a lot more storage for our GIGA. CSF has been pumping out track and all of the 40 or so rusty pieces are likely to get painted shortly. In other words... after the past month of nothing (besides awesome construction photos), Speculation is about to get going again!!!
  13. Wild Gravity has the best weekly update videos. The zoom on their camera is really good. I would say they have about another two weeks on the footings before the first drop is done. I would expect to see new blueprints filed after the 4th weekend so that they can start getting into the main coaster section. Also does anybody know if the new shed has been completed off in the woods? It still makes a lot of sense to move that red and white building and open that area up as a plaza area. It would give great views of the drop and you could fit a restroom and food spot over there as well.
  14. I would think it will be 4-5 years before we see another coaster after this. I see it taking the place of either Vortex or Amazon Falls/Invertigo. If they replace The Vortex trains they could get more life out of it. It seems like Invertigo has the higher maintenance costs due to part availability. Either site would be great for a multi launch.
  15. Looking at video from yesterday it seems like much hasn’t gotten done this week despite the good weather. It seems like most of the piers have been poured. Do they have to wait a certain amount of time before pouring the footings on top? Nothing has been done in the main layout yet outside of the drop and station area. I wonder why those blueprints haven’t been submitted and approved yet by Mason.
  16. Not true. I doubted him at first. He was the first to claim seeing blue track at CSF. His claim checked out. He’s young so he can’t easily get photos like you or I could. But he’s legit!
  17. ^^^^The park will definitely have an announcement when they are ready. The majority of the GP don’t all know about the project and are not actively following it. We are probably 1% of the GP.
  18. Obviously it will be a little more fun on 4/20 [emoji847]
  19. The following footers/footings have been poured based on wildgravity’s photos from Friday.
  20. My theory is that we are going to see a full retheme of FoF and Xbase in general. This would explain why the que is getting an overflow section. It would also explain the trademark of both Polaris and Orion. Also the large Xbase sign was removed recently.
  21. I agree those definitely look like they have been set out of the way for a while. The light blue track you can see tall grasses growing around it. The purple piece is in a terrible place to start stacking new track. Probably just a screw up. I think all the rust pieces on the side of the building are ours. I’m counting 40 plus pieces in that area. I’m a little surprised we haven’t seen the Hershey pieces being moved yet. They are well along on their footers so I’m not sure what the delay is.
  22. You’re good man. Great insight!
  23. I’m sure this link is helpful but I have no idea how to use it. What should I click on and what should I search for? I remember during MT decoding there was a site that was much easier to use. Anybody have advice?
  24. Does anyone know how to search for Cedar Fair trademarks?
  25. In this picture am I right in my assumption that they are able to adjust the supports prior to filling with grout. Is this gap left there to help fit and adjust track pieces together?
