  1. Very interesting stuff and it all kinda makes sense. You should be a teacher! Here is a link to Carowinds Fury construction photos. Lots of good stuff in there. https://www.carowindsconnection.com/fury325.php
  2. Here are photos from Fury 325 footers being poured in progressive stages. I was wondering if BSBMX could explain what we are seeing in these pictures. Specifically, what is the pink stuff and why is there a gap with the metal plate and bolts on the finished footer.
  3. The following footers are confirmed poured based off current photos/video
  4. A closer look at the poured footings. Moving along quickly.
  5. Yes this was posted earlier and is nothing like what the blueprints detail. It’s a good dream coaster but hopefully nobody believes this is real and gets their hopes up.
  6. I predict we will see teasers this weekend. As a marketing point I think they would try to capture the large audience they are expecting for Carnivale.
  7. We have blue track out front. Likely the previous gray primed station pieces.
  8. Anybody have an idea on the size between those supports on this new building? I’m estimating each is 20 feet in length for a total of 100. That structure is a lot bigger than I thought it would be.
  9. Good update. Lots of equipment on site.
  10. I’m a little skeptical that there is any blue painted track. We are relying on what a 14 year old saw while being driven past CSF. Also I highly doubt that they would be painting the track near one of the open doors. Typically when you paint anything like this it would be done in a fully enclosed and well ventilated painting bay. I’d love to be wrong though.
  11. Dustin you better get that POV out soon! There’s already been 4 or 5 posted. This better be something special lol
  12. With the added que line for FoF, I’m thinking this could be a full retheme of X base. I could see them spreading some money to FoF and rethemeing it since they saved a bit on the Giga. Additional we have two trademarked names. I would also like for them to get rid of those first two maintenance buildings on the blueprint and make this more of a plaza area and throw in a bathroom there. There would be some great views of the drop from this area.
  13. I don’t know if these is even possible but to me this turnaround looks like it could be an outside banked turn. Notice the lines and how they twist like the coaster is riding on the outside and not the inside. That would be an awesome element!
  14. I think this thing will be amazing. The first overbanked hill you will be flying through. Diamondback has a 215 foot drop and its first hill is 193. This has a 301 foot drop and the first hill is 181. That turnaround is going to be really interesting to see and massive at 188 feet. For comparison, Fury’s horseshoe turnaround is 153 feet and leviathan is 147 foot hammerhead turn. There might be a headchopper element as well as it passes back under the track. The final helix/ampersand will be interesting as well but not as tall as I was expecting. I’ve read that shambhala’s ampersand is beautiful but not that forceful. Maybe this is smaller but more forceful. This thing is going to be all about speed and banked turns. Should be a world class coaster in our backyard!
  15. You can’t see any of the new track from that photo. It’s all behind the corner of that building. Everything you see is completed Hershey track. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The new track is lined up in the red area and is getting its coat of rust currently. The blue area has a piece of primed gray track sitting there. None of the Hershey track has moved.
  17. No new pics as I didn’t stop. Made a couple loops back and forth.
  18. Just drove by CSF. There is no new painted track but there is a ton of new track sitting alongside the building. None of it was there two weeks ago.
  19. This is precisely why I’ve been predicting a 320 plus drop which would break Fury’s record. Each one of those lines is 10 feet. There is a 40 to 50 foot height drop from the Firehawk cleared area. 305 height 325 plus drop is my prediction and will be a world record holder.
  20. Welp someone knows how to kill a party lol!Sorry for your friend though that’s a rough thing to deal with. I’ll say a prayer for his mom tonight. RIP
  21. Are you already giving up on flying this season? SAD! [emoji1787]
  22. I doubt this is anything more than storage. I don’t think they would let anyone this close to anything involving Project X at this point. We haven’t even had teasers yet.
  23. Where is true North on this plan? I can’t find it.
  24. Can someone overlay what a true North position would look like? Is it normal for companies to not accurately show which direction is correct?
