I'm planning on heading down after I get off work at 4. Should be able to get in a decent 4 1/2 hours and then I'll be back for a full day on Sunday.

I'm happy to spend my 240 on the Gold Pass and Season drink and dining. I don't go as often as some do, last year I made 12 visits throughout the year last year. Trying for that range, maybe closer to 20 this year.

Oh my word, I remember that, such a cool transition between areas.

I love the park's layout. The best thing Taft Broadcasting did when planning KI was consult Roy Disney who told them to buy lots of acres. Other seasonal parks can sometimes feel cramped but Kings Island has space that you can get lost in and really feel like you've escaped from the outside world.

Yeah, Vortex for a long time was the most forboding and intense coaster in the park, probably until maybe Flight of Fear and definetely Son of Beast. Heck I didn't brave it until I was 15 lol.

Haunt weekend + warmer than usual seasonal weather = crazy large crowds. Hoping with the mazes opening it will help spread out the crowds somewhat.

Slightly off topic- I am not much of an alcohol consumer. But I am pleasantly surprised to find the Reds Grille sells Mike's Hard Lemonade!

The morning was fine, but once1pm hit now the park is really filling up and just about every ride has a decent sized wait it looks like. Freaking Adventure Express has what looks like a 20 minute wait lol.

Another Haunt question, I missed going last week had too many weekend errands pop up. And I'm sadly going to miss the Friday meet up since I work till 5 and I just know after this week I'llbe tired from work. But the main reason is I am going Saturday so I can spend all day at the park, that way I can get certain rides done during the day and focus on mazes etc at night. Plus I like the idea of making an endurance run of being there for 14 hours. What time in the morning does the gate open for the parking lot. Is it an hour prior to park opening like during the regular season? Do Gold Pass memebers get Early Ride Times during Haunt?

How late are the food areas usually open. Hoping to use both meal plans during Friday evening. I remember when the park was open till 12 on Saturdays in July most eateries were open the whole evening. Sent from my LG-M150 using Tapatalk

How much on average can you do during the Haunt in a 5-6 hour span? I'm planning on going either Friday or Saturday after I get off work and either way I'll likely get there about 7pm. Never been to KI during Haunt, now that I have a Season Pass I intend to go at least 3-4 times.

I remember once sitting through a long winded catalogue sales pitch when I was 20 just so I could get a 20 dollar gift card to Regal Cinemas. Wouldn't do that again. On the bright side I saw Chicken Run and The Perfect Storm for free!

Yeah, I really see no need for it for me, 99 dollar season pass plus another 150 for season dining and drink? I'm good. I've gone 11 times this year and haven't had to wait more than at most 45 minutes for Mystic Timbers. Park Wifi and a smart phone helps pass the time in a queue too.

Today must be a good day, as I've been here since 11:30am and already rode pretty much everything I intended to and it's now only 5:00pm. I don't tend to ride the same ride multiple times this season due to having the Gold Pass but I am amazed at all I could fit in in such a short amount of time. Nothing was more than a 20 minute wait maybe tops, including Mystic Timbers.

Diamondback was less than 20 minutes, Mystic looking around 30-40 minutes at the moment. 3 trains running on both.

I saw him my last ride, it was a cool piece. I'm glad some 20 years later they still have that wonderfully cheesy queue video. Always makes me nostalgic for the first time I rode it (which oddly enough was at Kings Dominion).

Yesterday was fantastic all around. I spent a good 8hrs at the park and hit most major rides for me. Conquered Drop Tower and lunch at the Reds grill in particular was fantastic. Had some wings along with my burger and it was all very good. Chicken Tenders later that day at the Shack were good as well (I enjoy the slice of texas toast you get with that). It was my tenth trip this season and went wonderfully.

So yeah, I'm riding this again lol.
