Experimenting with that Alien technology again. I sure hope they know what they are doing or someone is going to get hurt. The last thing they need is a bunch of construction workers getting fused with the supports as the coaster goes in and out of phase.

Matter of opinion but I will argue that. CM just got the Antique Cars last year and a new food shack the year before. I consider Area 72 a suburb of CM and it is getting a Giga. I guess if you consider Vortex a major loss I see your point, but for many it was hated or just meh at best. Something will go there eventually. AZ on the other hand doesn’t even have a dedicated drink stand and no discernible identity. It’s just an expanse of concrete with some good and some mediocre attractions. What does Action Zone mean anyway post-Paramount?

I see 2. We are getting a second racer!

That’s three points of contact, the First Order can triangulate your position now. Bug Out! I am guessing Lancaster-ish?

^This. Actually they know exactly what they are doing. Being passive aggressive and snarky all at the same time. I laugh everytime I see it done to someone and steam when I am the victim. Overall I approve but don’t dish it out if you can’t take it.

This is a feature. KI considers it ERT.

I get that, but this Dippin Dots stand over here is OURS as well. Not anyone else’s. Along with everything else in the park. I fail to understand the point.

I have not noticed parks claiming rides of other parks in the past. Is this a typical problem I have missed?

Never trust the first hit on google. Still comes out to 100-200k, point being it still is a lot of money.

A quick google search reveals scrap steel goes for $1.34/lb. in Ohio and steel coasters seem to use around 2000 tons of steel or 4 million pounds. Even if Vortex is on the extreme lower end that is still well over a million dollars. I think the bean counters at corporate pay very close attention to figures like that.

It is also not factually correct. Countless species live together as a family unit through several generations. It has only recently become uncommon for 2-4 generations of Americans to not live as a household. Maybe not the best example of a functional family, but ever watch Dallas? Back on topic, Parks don't generally tear stations down unless they have a need. The way I look at it, getting torn down tells us more than if it is left standing.

Ha. And it was even worse on media day when it was the ONLY thing on in the park, not even music. I remember walking by Gemini and upon hearing it thinking OMG they broke it already? -
WindSeeker looks like a giant patio heater in that photo.

Flame Throwers? Really? My high school guidance counselor didn't tell me construction workers got to use flame throwers. I am questioning my life choices right now. Its called a Shoulder Ride and only has a station wait.

I guess some people can tune it out, not me. 18 years ago my wife tried to convince me I would get used to the sound of babies crying and it wouldn't bother me. She. Was. Wrong. I will say airplanes are much quieter than they were in the 70's and earlier. Back then you didn't need to live anywhere near an airport and if you were in your backyard all conversation had to end until it passed. -
That is a good question maybe a construction worker could answer. Which is better? Working in snow or the mud after the snow melts?

Why is it important to finish the turnaround before Christmas?

So the point is being made that the sound waves created by a coaster are directional and not omnidirectional? Not so sure about that one either. -

So the noise of a chain lift 287’ in the air carries no farther than one 50’? Not so sure about that. -
So while relaxing on the hammock you never noticed that screaming giga overhead called Millennium Force? I guess if KI used Intamin instead of B&M there wouldn’t be noise complaints?

50 years ago when I built my house next to the highway I had no idea that the city might actually grow and need to add additional lanes and now they want to take my back yard away and put a giant concrete wall up. Not Fair! 50 years ago when I built my house next to an airport I had no idea that air cargo would experience such huge growth and planes would be landing and taking off all hours of the night. So Bezos just needs to knock that crap off. 50 years ago when I built my house next to a hospital I had no idea all the Boomer’s health would eventually start failing and need bigger hospitals with ambulances bringing even more patients at all hours of the night. I wonder if CoasterDynamics has a nano-violin kit. -
With so many wheels it might get a little pricey but they could equip a train or two with snow chains. A side benefit, if riders closed their eyes they could relive their glorious Vortex experiences with amazing realism.

I would happy with a Coke Freestyle stand. Not Kidding.

I would say more from a health and safety perspective for both guests and employees. You need really good rain gear to stay safe in those conditions. It doesn’t take long for hypothermia to start rearing it’s head when wet and that cold.
