Well there are currently 645 participants so yes that is a lot of people. There may be more joining prior to April 3rd deadline. How many rides will you get? Well that depends on the actual ride capacity they can achieve on a new ride. Being a B&M probably pretty good. Event is 6-9 so maybe plan on hitting the toll booths at 5? I am sure the park will give guidance closer to the event on when the gates open.

ACE Invited to Orion Media day. (Register Feb 7)

Have you completed your service hours? -
True they are water resistant when new. However, like a coaster that is 10 years old, usage and stresses may degrade performance over time. Plastic warps, seals become brittle etc., so the 10 year old fob you have been carrying around in your pocket daily may not be as water resistant as it once was.

CF testing new dining plan options

I can’t wait for Amazon Drones to drop me off some donuts, cheap sunglasses and sunscreen because I forgot mine. -

CF testing new dining plan options
King Ding Dong replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
This is just for All Day Dinning Plan, not All Season, correct? Personally I would like to see the ability use a meal credit on a snack for the All season, sometimes that is just all the kiddos need. What I don’t want to pay extra for is a snack on the all season plan but very limited selection. If that were the case I would just buy snacks ala carte as needed as we do now. -
Time for The Rattler video, it starts getting good about half way.

I realize B&M is considered one of if not the best with manufacturing tolerances but are we certain the sections are just bolted together? Seems like without any sealant or gasket over time water could seep through joints start corroding the structure from within.

I refuse to support this proposal unless it includes the locations of the Freestyle stands.

How about Central Ohio Coaster Club, it is more focused. Been a tough acronym day dealing with COTC regarding my kid’s CCP. -

@SnakePlissken And what if next media day KI invites COCC GOCC instead of ACE? -

Sure makes it look like a coaster for ants. One of the coolest aspects to a Giga is there is no getting around you feeling really, really high up. Also, doesn't Ohio at least get the record of most Giga's in one state?

Well, first time I saw Diamondback I thought for sure the splashdown was water jets because the track was not underwater. Many years ago when a ride host asked me to buckle the seat belt I replied politely, "No thank you, I'm fine." You can imagine how well that went over. It would be cool if the top lift could be the last piece, like the STL Arch, but that's not how this machine goes together.

I don't think it is weird. Awful, creepy, curious, eccentric, eerie, freaky, funky, ghastly, haunting, horrific, kooky, magical, mysterious, outlandish, peculiar, spooky, strange, supernatural or unnatural possibly, but not weird.

Validity of the 5 Year Planing Cycle
King Ding Dong replied to Phantom Theater's topic in Kings Island
If the search function here worked better (or I was better at using it), you would be proven wrong. The mantra on this board for at least the past several years has been a 5 year process from decision to build a coaster and opening of finished product. Never saw any evidence to support that claim but I have seen many on here berated in the past to dare think otherwise. -
Validity of the 5 Year Planing Cycle

Lets face it guys, we have been lied to for years about the coaster planning process. This revelation is a devastating blow to the credibility of the enthusiast community. -
Validity of the 5 Year Planing Cycle

Yeah, whatever happened to the whole 5 year process for a coaster? So basically now they can start designing a custom coaster, then start pouring footers in about a year now? That is seriously impressive as it takes considerably longer to plan and build a Starbucks hut, these people know what they are doing! -
With the station removal my money is even more on Monster Jam going there for 2020. Edit: Whats with all the sad faces? Granted Monster Jam is sort of lame and capacity is low but it will be gone before the season is over.

A two train coaster?

Yes, but with all the usual stipulations about weather, mechanical issues, protein spills etc. Things will not go perfectly. This is not directed at you HandsUp, but everyone please understand this is a charity event. If you go into this with the positive attitude you raised/donated to a worthy cause and probably got to have some fun in the process, this will be a positive experience. If you go in to it with the transactional ride warrior attitude and expect you are buying 4 or 5 rides an hour and anything less will **** you off, make you feel conned or want your money back, then that will likely happen and this event is really not for you. Investigate one of the VIP tours instead. There is no guarantee you will get to ride even one time, things happen. 4 thousand people could register and you are lucky to get one ride in while waiting 3 hours. Be OK with that possible outcome. There are few worse looks than asking for your money back from a charity, that is like Bond Villain bad.

Welcome to KIC! Enjoy your stay. So you saw a Children’s indoor party center at Timberwolf in the 90’s? Interesting.
