Hawaiian Coasters 325

I've said this many times before, but I believe Diamondback didn't start teasing until July.

A point on length made before is that shorter doesn't always mean weaker. Look at RMC coasters. Yes, Steel Vengeance is long, but if you look at many RMC's, they aren't terribly long, but they pack a punch. Also, look at I305. Widely considered one of the best coasters in the world and several enthusiasts #1 and has a shorter track length than Diamondback. It's also shorter than the other gigas in height.

A big example is how Top Thrill Dragster is the tallest in the park and how many people prefer Steel Vengeance, Maverick, and Millennium Force even though they are shorter in height. Just because it is not the tallest, doesn't mean it won't be the best. We might be in for a wonderful surprise.

Dennis Speigel was one of the people who thought Banshee was going to be a wing coaster. But he did predict that Mystic Timbers was a wooden coaster and he did predict the right manufacturer.

I think another thing we've got to keep in mind is that Kings Island is more of a locals/family park and not a destination park. The park tends to cater more to the families rather than the thrill seekers. Imo, I think imo that the reason that they are probably going smaller/cheaper on a giga rather than going insanely huge is that it'll be easier to achieve the minimum return on investment goal.

Here is a picture of the light up wheels installed on Tatsu. Full credit goes to Uremet. This would actually fit well on a space theme coaster.

I think I saw on Facebook somewhere that Tatsu at magic mountain got new LED lights on the train wheels. I think it would be awesome if we got something like that on this!

Or here's an idea, just use the indoor switchbacks.

If this lift is 310' it would be kinda funny to have a giga with the same height as Millennium Force

Diamondback is marketed as "the tallest and fastest coaster to ever strike Kings Island." Obviously the strike part has to do with the snake. Maybe they could market this as the "tallest and fastest coaster to ever take the KI skies." They should maybe do some amazing advertising with this. Anyone remember how Canada's Wonderland advertised Leviathan on the bill boards?

After watching this Leviathan pov, I would actually be happy if our giga is similar. Would I love it to be like Fury? Yes. Would I be happy with a Leviathan? Yes. This also looks like a fun ride at dusk/night. I always have a blast at dusk/night on Millennium Force so hopefully it's similar!

I kinda had the idea for years that since the KI giga thing was hyped for all these years, when they finally announce it, we probably will be disappointed that our huge ideas didn't end up happening.

^^People thought the leaked MT layout was fake, but it wasn't. I don't think they would send fake blueprints to the Mason City Hall.

And that was taken the year before Mystic Timbers opened. I'm sure he meant after 2017 though. But that was the time people speculated MT was a giga.

I believe it's called the ride maintenance facility or something like that. Is that what you are talking about?
