  1. Speedhill
  2. Weather Is breaking here locally, but it’s really close to lunchtime so who knows if they’ll make any more progress. That element is still below the tree line and I cannot see it from any of the usual vantage points. Upper portion of the next support and track piece it should be game on again.
  3. Same with Dorney and Carowinds if the posts from some pages are accurate.
  4. He does give credit. As someone who has fought the reposting of their photos, I think Instagram should embed a share button that would put the original posters name and link on the photo like the third party app does. Without it, I think if you repost the first item in your post should be name, @ and # of person so it’s the most visible.
  5. I told Steve not to do it. Anyhow on Vortex, the lift and the length of track into the loops can be clearly seen on the skyline. It would not be hard to see from some angles around the park when it comes down. It would also be heard clear as a bell.
  6. Isn’t it often said, search the boards before you post as there is probably one already out there? Is 18 years extreme? Perhaps. I did have to check the date the few times reading through because I though it was some kind of troll job at first.
  7. So they should be clear of the supports and can come in from The Racer side now hopefully without much issue and continue with the current pace.
  8. The Bat wing can be seen from the dropoff parking lot, not always clearly but they can be seen. I’ll swing by in the morning and see if I can substantiate this claim. I got a great sun rise shot on Sunday they were visible.
  9. Just think, the turnaround is 202 feet. That is a hyper high, almost the same as Magnum XL(205) and Mako(200) for example. So imagine hitting the apex with some extra speed(right now I have no idea how much, but Im sure its over the 10mph'ish chainhill lifts are) and cruising down the banked track to cut back over the other direction meeting this little speed bump along the way... I think its going to be on par with RMC ejector. That front seat is going to be insane for this element.
  10. Yes. They have to go up underneath it through the supports to come back out the other side. Im sure this may slow down the construction and it seems like it would have been a better idea to put it in before the supports for the wave turn as the POV makes it look tight in as it goes into the air time hill.
  11. Not too much of a surprise with the supports already in place low to the ground. I wonder how many pieces of the air time hill go in before she starts peaking over the treeline or at least get a support or track piece in the air.
  12. Pantheon's been number 1 on our 2020 wish list since it was announced with Iron Gwazi number 2 and Orion coming in 3rd. On topic, now that we have the turnaround almost completed, how are those here comparing it to Fury's turnaround? Obviously it is in reverse and doesnt have that dip going into the peak, but it does look like it is more aggressively profiled at 45 feet taller. I think its going to be hard even at behind the scene events to get a angle to manipulate the perspective to get it to look like a treble cleft or ampersand regardless for a more apples to apples comparison. I grabbed a screenshot from the last KI video for comparison as this is an angle none of us could have legally gotten at this time.
  13. Management said " You want webcams, we will give you webcams. We never said would you would be able to see anything with them...."que the Dr Evil laugh Of course that is my though on it, as they are up there smearing a little mud or Vaseline on the dome.
  14. Well, they are working today.
  15. Not me... I think there may be a slight delay once they go into the speed hill as its goes back underneath the structure and I think both cranes will still be on the west side(both on The Beast side). Im guessing the speed hill will go in fast with the supports in place and then it becomes a race against weather and how fast they want to go. Ive seen 2 of the smaller pieces on the wavehill go up in 1.5 hr and one of those days they dropped in 6 in a day.
  16. Interesting moving it now, not that one can really see much of anything on it unless we have near perfect conditions. I wonder if there is a liability issue of some kind with having the webcam on Vortex during the tear down(while I’m at it, I’m beginning to think there is something in mind for that spot sooner than later, otherwise why the rush. Especially if it wasn’t planned...) As for the here and now, all the weather apps had the weather wrong and I’ll swing by about 1230ish to see if anything has happened. If they are working, they usually come back from lunch about 1-1:30 at the latest.
  17. Thanks! I’m overall enjoying the process, or maybe it’s just the satisfaction after the thrill of the hunt is over.
  18. The track profile can be seen nicely now with the cranes out of the way. Here is the next support...
  19. I highly doubt that they’ll get that next piece in today as I’m guessing it’s going to be short like the other one, but they may both go in tomorrow morning. With that said I am almost to my lookout point to see what’s going on.
  20. Guess these are dated at this point. I expect track first thing again tomorrow morning.
  21. Support likely, track definitely.
  22. Next piece in place
  23. So Thursday starts the clock ticking again on construction continuing. Does the track start going up Thursday or will it be Monday? My guess is Monday but I’d like to be surprised otherwise. I think after the last part of the turn around goes in I won’t be able to get track going up till we hit the next air time hill, then the helix and I’m going to guess the last piece goes in over by the brake run. As for that, the next step after
  24. I can not find it at the moment, but I believe I read somewhere that the 85 degree portion of the drop is only for 7 feet of track. Doesn’t seem like much at all, but I’m sure with the shaping of the drop it will feel MUCH steeper than DB. I remember coming back to KI after we did 5 days and probably close to 80ish rides on Fury and 3 days and 60 some rides on i305 riding DB thinking how short the drop was and how quickly it pulled out of the drop.
  25. There were ornaments that went out in the mail?
