  1. We planted a few pine trees in our backyard like 15 years ago. When we planted them, the pine trees were like 4 feet tall. Nowadays, the pine trees are like 30 feet tall.
  2. Were they near The Bat’s station or maybe near Son of Beast’s station?
  3. Where would you say the markers were in relation to anything in the park?
  4. With this picture, I definitely agree it does look impossible to see new markers from The Bat. I don’t doubt that @gforce1994 did see new markers though, but I don’t think they could be near Marker 4 and still be visible from The Bat.
  5. Wow! That is a LOT of markers.
  6. Cedar Point does not need to be getting rid of family coasters though. If they replace their family coasters with thrill coasters, they will alienate a lot of their park guests.
  7. Rougarou could very well be moved to another Cedar Fair park like Valleyfair or Michigan’s Adventure, and it would be a great addition to either of those parks.
  8. Are there any more near Son of Beast’s station? How many of these new markers would you say there were? Also, are these markers the stake-type?
  9. Can you describe the general area of the markers and the colors of them?
  10. Pine trees get MASSIVE in a short amount of time. In like ten years, those trees could easily be over 15 feet tall and fairly wide, blocking mostly all views from The Beast’s station which I like. I think they will keep these trees even after they replace Vortex.
  11. I am not trying to harass anyone. I am just trying to point out that it is not fair to compare Kings Island and Indiana Beach’s fall operating schedules because one is actually taking proper COVID-19 safety precautions while the other one is doing practically nothing at all. The argument was directed towards Indiana Beach and not you.
  12. So trying to act safely and responsibly is “living in fear?” There is no excuse for Indiana Beach’s incompetence in its COVID-19 response. They really don’t show their appreciation to their loyal fans by doing nothing to protect them.
  13. Indiana Beach on the other hand is staying open till 11pm and hiring scare actors. Guess where I'm going in October... Enjoy Indiana Beach’s COVID-19 precautions! Oh wait... there are none... We are lucky Kings Island is even staying open in the fall. Obviously, the park cut back hours to stay profitable with limited attendance.
  14. It looks like Intimidator at Carowinds is receiving a complete repaint this offseason. If Intimidator is now getting repainted, I think Diamondback is well overdue for a repaint as I have always thought that its paint job was in much worse shape than Intimidator. Also, Diamondback is one year older than Intimidator. I really hope a Diamondback repaint is in the works. http://www.screamscape.com/html/carowinds.htm
  15. This Coaster Nation article contains a map of most of the markers I believe. https://coasternation.com/new-markers-appear-at-kings-island/
  16. I agree with you. There were MANY other places to put that tent.
  17. I bet they supplied the Grand Carnivale storage tent!
  18. I do think they will replace Vortex with a coaster because there are already plenty of flats in Coney Mall and altering the terrain would be more expensive, but I agree, I think Action Zone will see a new coaster before Vortex is replaced.
  19. I am heavily leaning towards a MACK Rides multi-launch (maybe spinning) replacing Vortex. Something like Copperhead Strike would be different enough from Maverick with its hangtime, and it would also be MUCH more reliable than Maverick. MACK Rides’ coasters all have incredibly comfy restraints which is also very important. Also, these rides are incredibly photogenic which is important because Vortex’s replacement has to live up to Vortex’s standards. I will say this... if we do get a MACK Rides multi-launch, I think it will feature 5 car trains like Helix in order for us to have 3 trains of 20 rides compared to Copperhead Strike and Time Traveler’s 3 trains of 16 riders.
  20. For real! The last couple times I have ridden it, the door has been wide open, making the final tunnel even worse than it already is.
  21. FUN&ONLY! replied to upstop's topic in Rumors
Actually, I could see the park putting in a coaster near the front of the park without removing any rides if they stretch it from the Son of Beast station to the main gate (I could see Timberwolf being removed). I really think they should put the entrance to a new ride in the very back of Action Zone near The Bat’s entrance because that area of the park is ALWAYS dead. Regardless, I hope they completely redo Action Zone when it receives its next major addition. Action Zone looks pretty bad in my opinion. Action Zone and Planet Snoopy are the two areas in the dry park that need the most love. Soak City is another story.
  22. Kings Island NEEDS competition. If Kentucky Kingdom was owned by Cedar Fair, they would receive less investment and as a result of Kentucky Kingdom’s lack of investment, there would be no need for Kings Island to continue with large investments. Because of Kentucky Kingdom’s frequent investment, we are seeing Kings Island getting more investment as well I like it where it is now with Kings Island and Kentucky Kingdom competing for guests.
  23. Did you draw this out or make a concept of it because I love concepts like this even if they are outlandish. Also, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I would prefer almost any other type of coaster at the front of the park over a wing coaster because we would lose some of our uniqueness from Cedar Point. If it were a launched wing coaster that would be better, but I would prefer something like a B&M flyer over the entrance or maybe a B&M multi-launch depending on what the surf coaster ends up being. I say B&M because I don’t know if Cedar Fair would put any other coaster at the front gate that is not a B&M.
  24. From the markers we have seen: The marker near the Son of Beast station is for communication lines. The survey flags near the from entrance are just temporary survey markings. The markers in the preferred parking lot are for proposed excavation.
