  1. I'll liken possibly closing these rides with no warning to the guests/fans to how I found out the Milford Frisch's Big Boy was closing today, 12/17. It was a rumor on Facebook that it was a part of the next round of Frisch's closures. I told my wife Sunday morning that I'd like to go that night in case it was true. Went and enjoyed what may be my final Big Boy at the restaurant my now deceased parents went most nights in the 90s and 00s to have coffee and dessert with friends. Server confirmed the rumor; she had been trying to say good-bye to all her regulars over the last 22 years she's worked there. I guess it may make sense from a thousand miles away to close things with no warning to just get it over with, but it's probably not the ethical thing to do.
  2. How much of this is just engagement bait? Or is there something to it? https://x.com/TPRBrandon/status/1869057034970394890
  3. Just scanning the Six Flags earning calls transcript and this seemed an interesting question from a person at Citi Bank, "Obviously, if you look at sort of the performance of your stock since the merger closed, it seems like there's been somewhat of a shifting narrative. And in talking to investors, I think that narrative seems to be that you guys were surprised by, A, the lack of investments that had been being made at the Six Flags parks. And then B, that the level of investment that would be required to sort of begin that turnaround was much greater than you originally anticipated." Seems like the Cedar Fair people in charge now think they need to get the legacy Six Flags parks up to par first. 4. I keep our physical passes in my car just in case, plus the parking scanners read the physical passes easier than a phone screen.
  5. After a 2nd delete and reload the app, my passes are back.
  6. Anyone else having problems with your season passes not showing up in the app today? I even tried type in my pass number and it said success but still did not add to the wallet in the app. (I have tried logging out and back in. I have an iPhone.)
  7. Loved it. He’s 41” now. Going back tonight for a few hours.
  8. My 3 year old had his first ride on a “big” rollercoaster on Sunday. Same coaster as my first, Woodstock Express.
  9. Also, I can't remember many times the Subway was open in Coney Mall.
  10. Here’s a great example that the Cincinnati Zoo posted today with info on the new elephant exhibit.
  11. A hot dog cart (or as they're called in some European countries, a pølsevogne) on International Street. It's another quick service option that can be run by one person.
  12. To get the merger to go through they may be required to sell off some of the parks. Kroger and Albertsons have proposed to sell off hundreds of stores to get approval of their merger.
  13. They should be doing a weekly video talking to a someone (a member of the construction company / contractor / KI GM) giving progress updates on all the Camp Snoopy work and other projects in the park. I remember University of Cincinnati doing videos like that during the different offseasons when they did work on both Nippert Stadium and Fifth Third Arena. They called it Hardhat Wednesday. It doesn't take much. Just do 3 or 4 minutes a week highlighting the progress.
  14. Most likely no announcement until late July like Mystic Timbers. Two months to wildly speculate.
